best thing to do is get the paperwork to them on a friday when they don\'t realy care about the work and looking at the weekend.... they are more likely to OK it & send it back! I know on the FD\'s it\'s very hitor miss with them even if you send in proof!! I was going to send them a pic of the plate from under the bonet that shows 654cc (or what ever it is...... mind blank!) but aparantly someone did this and it still came back as a 2.6 :(

In a word you have absolutely no chance.

DVLA have become very much aware of the rotary loop hole and are slowly closing down on it.

I\'ve had arguments with them over the years and you get absolutely no where.  They have told me everytime a car changes hands or licence plate that is reg\'d as a 1.3 the new owner will receive a 2.6 log book back.

Was nice while it lasted. :(  Anyone who disagrees with my statement go and take it up with your local DVLA office and see how far you get.

Dirty money grabbing .......s surely that cant be legal as it is a 1.3 not a 2.6 might have to look deep into this one and see if they are allowed to do this

well, I will know in the next 2 to 5 days when my log book gets back with the new reg

If it comes back with 2.6 I will take it up with DVLA, no way I am going to let it go - looks highly ilegal - Dirty money grabbing .......s AS FD3S said

thought this was a bit de ja vu! looks like the 2.6 thing comes from Mazda and not DVLA.

as much as it isn\'t fair, doesn\'t look like we can do anything about it (mine\'s registered as 2600cc).

When did this happen? I only got car a year and a half ago and logbook came back fine. Then I had to get another V5 2 months ago and it still never changed? Or was I just lucky?

Would  you mind sending me details about the numberplate you bought and how much you\'ve paid? I\'ve just sold mine and wondered if it\'s mine you\'ve bought.

Did you change anything on the log book or did they just issue you with a replacement?

This has happend twice to me now, once last year and again a couple of weeks ago.

Both my FC\'s are imports and both registered as 1.3cc, tax is just £60 for 6 months!

My V5 came back when I bought the car and it was still a 1.3

Engine number isn\'t listed though, says "UNKNOWN" or something, maybe they can\'t change it without that?
