Title: Rebuild: Plate advice
Post by: leon on March 13, 2009, 07:38:34 PM
Hi Guys, I\'m after a little advice on the side plates. I have a few areas that look like:

Are these areas terminal to the engine, i could not find a single jacket that had broken through. i attacked all of them with a screw driver too!

I\'ve been over the plates with a ally bar that has a straight edge tolerance of 1 thou, with feeler gauges at 1.5 thou and could not find any warpage other than a slight \'sag\' in the middle of one of the plates.

A view that is more from the side as opposed to directly ontop would be helpful, but they don\'t look to bad.

Fantastic! This kind of wear is quite normal on the engines?
