Title: which? Voltage stabilzer
Post by: L18M on March 12, 2009, 12:27:44 AM
dont know much about these, as in brands etc..

just wondering if any of you guys use or have any recommendations to which one to purchase?

figured, having lots of electrical stuff (lots of ICE, which as nice as it is is a bit silly in a LOUD fc) HID which drains / uses lots of currents etc it can only be beneficial to have voltage stabilizer in there for fun :)

cheers in advance :)

come on liam get rid of all those silly speakers and save some weight then you will go faster  :spank

i know of a company who do good grounding kits in the uk for improved earthing in the engine bay //www.groundingkits.co.uk

not sure if there is anyone selling voltage stabilizers in the uk thou and not really sure what benefit you get from them

Uprated alternator is probably the best solution, so that it can cope with the load you\'re placing on it.

the setup sounds soooo goooood.. so does the exhaust now! and the exhaust is winning the battle
the only thing that will fit in my work car is the sub, non of the other ice will fit =(

ie an fd one? but then will have to modify the dual alt pulley?
maybe that helps explain why my batt does flat easy lol

Someone in the US was doing FD alternators with dual pulley setup for the FC.  I seriously considered it, but with current reducing LED / HID lights and not running a phat stereo - I didn\'t seem to need it ;)

Not sure if the site is still up - but check 1300cc.com as he did an FD alternator swap on his car.

Try : http://1300cc.com/howto/how2/fdalt.htm  :)
