Hi all,

i have a slight problem with the head lights on my first gen.
they seem to not be giving out the correct power/light.
this was brought to my attention through an MOT and states that both head lights are under powered.
is this due to bad earth/wireing?
or do the bulbs need replacing?
or anything else?
help????

I can point you to a thread for 1st gen headlights in the wanted forum. Look in there or simpler still, search under \'cibie\'. Read my last comment in there if you want identical units, or Shaun and Mark had good ideas for upgrades.
I got some brand new units for about Â£25 each - identical replacements, even down to the press marks on the Cibie glass from the factory.

thanx for the info dave, had a look and might go for the replacement units and some uprated bulbs too.

Handy link, I changed to brand new Headlights and bulbs too.

yes change the units do the relay mod (must do that!) get some decent bulbs in there :Thumbs-up

thanx for the link mark. just a shame that i have no money till the end of the month!
me and the misses have split and the work on my first gen is going quite slow at the mo.
so as a consolation prize might get the TUBBY II CAB sitting in the garage to get me a set of wheels for the mo and keep the first gen as a restoration project.
