Title: Bushings and assorted rubber and Hoses.
Post by: A R on March 08, 2009, 08:18:50 PM
After having a butcher\'s at the suspension bushings it all looks rather deteriorated. The PO replaced teh steering idler bushings, but pretty much everywhere there is rubber it looks quite bad.

Also noticed that some of the coolant hoses are starting to look a bit fatter than they should. i could not find any FB on the different sites that sell Samco ones. Has anyone any opinions of which ones to get?

Is Mazda the way to go?

Cheers,

AR

Bushes you need to buy from the states, full kit of poly bushes isn\'t very expensive.

As for the Coolant hose which on looks iffy ?? If its the top your better off making one with samco bends and straight alloy tube. Clive may be able to help with mazda ones though.

I managed to source a complete set of hoses for mine about 2 years ago. Some were from the UK and some from Belgium and the remainder were from the States. I will look up the receipts and sort out the part numbers over the next few days.

I make all our Grants bushings for the suspension from polyethylene stock bar from a plastics supplier in Leeds. The machining of them is easy and your local engineer would be able to turn some up for you. There are different grades of polyethylene, you need a fairly hard one and they are not as soft as the standard rubber void type bushes.I use a steel inner sleeve usually 25mm diameter. The cost of these bushings(doing them myself)is about £2 each, Bob

Many thanks Dave I ordered the Two Amigos as they are known in the NSX world ( Upper and Lower radiator hoses ) and will take the list to my local Mazda dealer for the rest.

Bob, do you make those to order by any chance?

Many thanks,
