Does anyone know if the imported 3rd gen RX-7 has a "European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval"? (Quoted from http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/regmarks/reg_marks_current_requirements.htm#import).
Because if it doesn\'t, that means we can legally fit a smaller number plate :) and I for one am fed up with my air flow into the front dam being restricted!
laws funny on it I think... It works for most jap imports if there\'s no place to fix it. I put one on mine, mot places, police don\'t give a rats about it..
i\'d say go for it... the goofy number plates they put on block so much air so it\'s worth it..
got mine from rushden graphics, cost £8.99 including p&p came next day too :)
Andy,
What size is yours? Number plate that is :p
I had a small one on mine but got pulled twice for it and eventually had to get it changed :reallymad
D
tis a motorbike one which I belive imports can get away with:

That is one sweet looking RX.
Looks like a Le-Mans GT racer, very cool :cool

Lee just on the exsisting bracket.. went to halfords and got some number plate fixing tape stuff, very thick heavy duty stuff, they have it on the counter and taped with the strips (had to cut a bit away) it to the metal attchements. My other goofy number plate was blocking about 50% of the airflow going in so that went quickly :)
moakesr cheers dude :D If you load of Gran Turismo 3, the intro at the start has one looking like mine which made me buzz when I saw that ;)
size wise it\'s in the first link so not sure if bike plate is smaller even that that but the other problem is the smaller size is also dependant on not being able to mount normal sized plate so i guess if you get Mr Jobs worth traffic Cop (http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/copper.gif) then yer theoretically stuffed anyway

Si
*touch wood* I\'ve never had a problem with that size. Even had a cop asking me all about the car for about 10 mins the other day when some **** drove into my mates shop, and he was a traffic cop.
I don\'t usually say nice things about police, but I really do think they have better things to do these days
I\'d also argue if i had Mr nasty that I can not mount a larger one due to the shape of the intake on the nose cone, blocking air n\'all :)

Not in edinburgh obviously! Mine was larger than that and i got pulled twice in a week.....
:(
Need to start a crime wave in edinburgh so they are to busy for my number plates! ;)
Very nice FD btw andy
:)
