Well i guess someone already has heard about it. So i thought i should let u guys know that Pip at WGT is in the process of building a 4 rotor N/A PP engine for me to be put into my FD.
The engine parts are all at Pip now but we are trying to figure out a way to cool the rear 2 rotors more.
The car is a 92 J Spec FD, with a GT300 WB kitt and alot of other parts. Il let the pictures speak for it self. I will be coming over in little over 5 weeks to get the engine put in and tuned. Hopefully there will be a track session at Oulton Park at the same time.

This going to be Peripheral ported then ? - seems to be a lot of intake ports filled :) :eek
It says so in the text i wrote. N/A PP. And doing anything else is useless as u cant get the secondary ports big enough on the FD center castings.
JT
Hi JT
Pip told me about this the other week as I am having a 3 rotor PP N/A in mine!
Will have to have a chat at some point!

That would be nice. I will be at WGT for about 3 weeks after easter so u got plenty of time to drop by. Il look forward to chatting with you again. How did it go with the Time Attack last season?
Plan is to get the engine in, get everything hooked up. Get is started, run in the engine, well it\'s more of running in the transmission as tremec says it needs 500 miles. So gonna respect that as it\'s going to see 9000 rpms alot.
So Pip got you hooked on a 3 rotor NA PP engine :) cool
U gonna go with the DTA Fast ecu as well?
I think that\'s a cheap and verry good alternative to everything else.
JT
That should be pretty amusing once its up and running :D

Yes he did going to use DTA Pro dry sump and RX8 trans
Will try and drop you an e-mail
TA was ok very wet most of the day and was giving away a lot of power and budget! Was happyish with the result but will be better N/A

Ok, i have a solution for you in the wet. get some hoosier wet tires, they rock in the wet. And as you live in england you should consider that.
Hehe your going to go drup as well yeah :) Nice
And RX8 trans, hmm it will probably hold up for the 3 rotor NA. Im bought the Tremec TKO600 transmission, that is modified by Liberty Gears in the US.
JT
looks like it will be a handful :D

Even if i break it they are only £300!
Yes dry sump, cars changed a lot since you saw it last feb at oulton!
Will look at those tyres but i think Toyo R1-R\'s would be better as we have to use Toyo for TA
Where did you source the custom E-Shaft Jantore?
This looks like an awesome beast, expected BHP, 550??
looks great, i wouldnt want your fuel bill though ! Do you have any more detail on the gearbox, there are a lot of people who have high HP road/track cars here and keep breaking the rx7 box. I assume yours is a circuit car?
Quote from: BlitzBoy;589235Where did you source the custom E-Shaft Jantore?

The eshaft and bearing support is from Jeff Bruce in New Zealand. Sourced from Green Brothers Racing in NZ.
We expect about 600rwhp+ somewhere and about 530nm+. But only the dyno session will reveal that.

Pip was saying you wanted 700 fly wheel horsepower from it
I will be at WGT for that and at Oulton for your trackday!

Fuel is not gonna be that hard. Were gonna run 8 550cc injectors or something. Maybe 720cc but not sure yet. Last year i had 4x1680cc injectors running at 95% duty cycle :P And im gonna run 98 octane pump gas.
The transmission is sourced from Liberty Gears in the US.
http://www.libertysgears.com/
http://www.libertysgears.com/ttc.htm
I went with the TKO 600 transmission with the following mods.
Face Plate Conversion 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th(Dog engagement)
Bronze Shift Fork Pads
Internal Shift Linkage Upgrade
Surface Enhancement Processing
Liberty\'s Exclusive Threaded Front Cluster
Bearing Support
Cryogenic Processing
With the following gearing.
2.87
1.89
1.28
1.00
0.82
Some modifications is needed. As it has a ford fine spline for the clutch, and you would need to use an adapter plate for the bell housing. And the shifter comes up more to the front then on the stock one. The shifter location is about 20 cm further back on the stock transmission.
Im looking forward to testing out the transmission.
JT
Looks amazing mate, always wanted to, and still hope to one day, build a 4 rotor :D
Hope all goes well with it and look forward to reading the progress :D:D

600rwhp is about 670 or so at the flywheel. So 700 will probably not be a problem. But we won\'t push it to max. I want it to last for a while. So if we need to push it to get 700 we might do it on the dyno and then just take off some HP to make it safe.
But with pips tuning of the 3 rotors he\'s done i think it\'s posible.

Quote from: mattfduk;589238I am hoping to get near 550 at the fly with a 3 rotor:InLove
hmm thats a tall order my friend even though its PP, the most I\'ve seen personally and read about is a two rotor making PP making 300 fly.
My estimate will be 450 fly for a 3 rotor PP, but all depends how high you going to rev it I suppose.
Fingers crossed for ya.
Pip Stopped tuning a 3 rotor PP RX8 @ 375 RWHP or 450 FWHP!
Thinks mine will make about 500 at the fly but as you say down to revs
I do belive the 3 rotor PP engine for the Belgium Mazda Race Team did somewhere around 470 at the wheels. That is arround 626rwhp on a 4 rotor. So only time will tell.
JT

It did with 9k revs, made 435 with 8k revs
Wouldnt this be too nose heavy for a race car?
Maybe a stupid question but why build 3 and 4 rotor cars when you can get near enough the same power (if not more) with 2 rotors and a big well set up turbo system?
Very impressive though and would love to hear it on the track when its done :D
Adam
Because we can!
And the noise!

Adam
Guess one time why im building a 4 rotor system.
Edit:
It\'s quite simple why im building my 4 rotor. Cause it\'s NA, it\'s a 4 rotor :) and the noise :)
I have had way to much problems with turbo\'s so im gonna go for this now. And cause not many have done it. And im aiming for 51/49 ratio for weight.
JT
Quote from: Kieron;589256Wouldnt this be too nose heavy for a race car?
The engine has been moved back about 15cm so that moves alot of weight back. And the car was more heavy in the rear before. So some more weight in the front is ok. And besides i have removed the turbo and intercooler as well.
JT
Quote from: BlitzBoy;589245hmm thats a tall order my friend even though its PP, the most I\'ve seen personally and read about is a two rotor making PP making 300 fly.
IIRC Bill Shiells in NZ made 298 at the fly with a 13B PP back in the early 80s. Things have moved on a lot since then. BP\'s are cracking 300 downunder these days.
JT why didn\'t you get green bros to build the motor? Their porting is awesome and they have built some really quick n/a cars.
Quote from: Rotaryguru;589271JT why didn\'t you get green bros to build the motor? Their porting is awesome and they have built some really quick n/a cars.
It\'s simple, Pip does his own porting and since he\'s tuning it as well i thought that would be the best.
JT
cool, keep us updated with how its getting on and vids when its running.
and that box looks awesome :D
so what was the spec before the change?? the car looks very nice as well
When either of you guys are at Oulton Park please, please, please give people warning. Would love to come and listen to these cars !!!!
Shaun
Very Nice Jantore.
I like the white Fd your found, what\'s happend to your Deep blue FD, thought you were in the States racing it?
Best of luck with the future beast!!
Oliver
sounds like a awesome project good luck with it
Jantore - looks and sounds a fantastic project! I\'m local to Matt/Pip/Oulton so I\'ll make sure I\'m at the track day to see the car!
what sort of RPM\'s will you and Matt be running?
I assume the only way of upping the power will be to play with the advance on the ignition timing with an N/A set up if you are taling about winding things back a little from peak HP
This looks like it will be a thing of beauty. Please, please, please bring it to Rotorstock so we can hear the NOISE :InLove
Good luck with it,
Chris.

I am looking @ 8500 ish JT i guess will be similar
Yea please bring it to rotorstock dude it would be a sin not to bring that there
I will go to 9000 rpm with it. The rev limiter will be set to 9200 rpm. The engine can handle 10-10500 rpm but i don\'t want to push it higher then that. Im not cutting any corners with the engine. Every thing is brand new, and balanced 100%. Also running with NRS 2mm 2 piece apex seals as well for better compression.
I will be in Middlewich from april 12th to may 3rd and im hoping for a track day at oulton in the last week. Pref friday or saturday. As we will need the time to get everything ready for it. Hopefully we can take it on a track test before i go home. Pip is also going to setup the suspension geometry if we got the time. As the weight of the car will change alot now.
I won\'t be able to attend rotorstock as i am going to a local event called Gatebil here in norway. Wich is a weekend of racing, drifting, drinking and babes :)
It\'s probably one of the biggest street car track events in europe. Last year there where 45000 ppl either watching or bringing there cars. It starts on thursday morning for me and ends sunday evening. And i will prioritise that first. Im hoping that next year rotorstock wont be set to that date. But i might come over this year for a silverstone track day or something.
Oliver
It\'s the same car, just painted it white instead. And i went home again from the states. Got a great jobb offer in norway, so had to go home again :P
JT
Goddamn it, I get back to England on the 5th :(
Going to be an awesome car, I made messy time in my pants.

what sort of exhaust do you run to keep the noise within the limits of Tracks?
When will you people learn to just buy an E46 M3 and leave it at that, instead of making fancy specials like this!

hehe no idea so far. i got a 4" exhaust on it now with dual mufflers, but that\'s gonna be too loud i think. but we will see.
JT
man, first the vest_racing project and now this! Norway is crazy...
did i see 530nm somewhere? that\'s immense! NA > turbos any day...
any more updates mate
Can see there being a good turn out when its on track. Can\'t wait to hear it :D

Just a small update, and no pictures yet :(
2 more weeks now and i will be at WGT with the car to get the engine mounted and tuned.
Pip will put the engine together this week. And i asked him to take some pictures while building it.
So im so looking forward to getting it done.
JT
Don\'t forget your camcorder and take lots of videos!
I will bring my phone for pictures and i will try and borrow a small camcorder. For some incar recording when driving on the road in the middlewich area :) and on oulton park.
Need to drive in the transmission 500 miles before i dyno it. Or else tremec says my transmission might break.
JT
So im finaly in englandat wgt. Things are going along slowly but stedy. Exhaust shoulw be done on monday or tuesday morning. And then the intake a few days after that.

Quote from: antnicuk;600117getting there. are you using an external oil pump?, your front cover looks unusual, is that because the internal oil pump isnt there any more?
Mate the front cover is the oil pump. It\'s a Mazda Motorsport Drysump pump front cover.
JT - it was good to meet you at WGT (I was helping Matt with the interior and spraying! - sorry I didn\'t really introduce myself properly), that is one lovely example of an FD you have there, and with the quad it\'ll be a beast!
is that a dummy block or the real thing? are you going to block the runners on the plates? or have you done it on the inside of the port.
Dummy block yes.
Here is some picture updates for you all. It\'s going a tad slow, but the exhaust manifold is a pain to buil on this engine. But here are some pictures to enjoy :)

excellent build. a work of art.
my father in law was travelling back from sweden after picking up an aston for his boss maybe a week two weeks ago, and said he got talking to a chap from norway travelling back on the ferry that had an rx7 being built near manchester england. was that you by anychance?
I had the pleasure of seeing this car (from the back) at WGT yesterday. Very impressive, you can gauge the high level of quality and craftmanship that is going in to this car.
Jantor, thank you for your suggestions regarding my engine whilst it was on the Dyno.
Good luck with the rest of your build.

So the headers are almost done. Going to make the collector tomorrow, and finish the exhaust. Connecting it to the rest of the exhaust. And it\'s beeing sendt out for ceramic coating as soon as it\'s done. As everything is so close, we need to get the heat down. Going to make a heat sheild as well.
Started on the coils today. Mounting them on the side of the frame. And we got the ecu today, so that will be fitted in the car tomorrow, and hopefully we can start on the engine harness tomorrow.

Nice to meet you tonight jantore. This project of yours looks awesome. Give me a ring when your gonna dyno it, I might just pop down to watch.
Adrian.
i came down to fetch an AST when that race car was being loaded into their lorry, looked really cool, id like to see it being run on the dyno aswell as im only one junction on the m6 away so ill be there in 20mins!
Awesome projects, cant conceive the build costs but good on you, love to see something adventurous.

I had to abandon the car in england, and go home for work. But the engine is beeing built this weekend. And will be in the car again on monday. Then it will be started on wensday or thursday i hope.
Im going back again next friday.

The main advantage is presumably that WGT will do it all inhouse (engine, dyno and ancilliary prep work) so they get to own the whole delivery.
If you have a short engine made up elsewhere and it doesn\'t produce the power expected on the WGT dyno (or whereever you go with it), you end up with several parties all pointing fingers at eachother.
Sensible decision IMO, and I\'m sure it will fly.
In fact I might trailer the race car up to Oulton myself on the day for a recce to see what times you can deliver. Need to run some pads in anyway.
S.
Are you going on the 15th ?? Probably popping up for a db test ! Hopefully will say hello :D
Shaun
Yes most likely. The engine will go into the car tomorrow. And will be started on thursday if Pip don\'t get any problems.
JT
Good to see you today, hope you got the rest of the bits you needed!
The car is going to be super once its running, and im very pleased with the map Pip did for me today.
Hey Andy nice to meet you. The build is progressing slowly but stedy. Hopefulle we will be ready by tuesday. If not the next boat is on thursday.
So enjoy the pictures

It\'s super to see what you and WGT have done in such a short time .... Fantastic work guys!
Best of luck JT with the start up
i would like to put this on my wish list and have it come to rotorstock 6 fancy running it in and driving it some of the way we could grantee a good turn out i might even say some one could get killed in the rush to see it a wonderful job
OMG, some major work and time gone into that:Thumbs-up

Im afraid i will be in norway when rotorstock is. They have managed to put it on the same date as the biggest track meeting in norway. So im going to attend that.
JT
Damn :(
As I\'m about to start some contract work with some Norwegians, perhaps I might be able to organise a meeting with them around that time, in Norway ;) :evillaugh
Loving the the Trumpets!!!!!!
Good idea for putting the primary injectors in the OMP holes!!!!!
No trumpets there Blitz, they are the throttle bodys :)
I too will have direct primary injection
Man that thing is gonna wail like a banshee on acid!!
Cant wait for the videos.
Almost there, cranked it today ot get oil pressure. And man it sounds sweet just cranking :) Just a few more things to do and it\'s ready to start tomorrow. So tomorrow i will have a video of it ideling and maybe reving just abit :)

No it\'s ok, i did as well when i first saw the spanner.
JT
wow wow wow - simply awesome, cannot wait to hear this #;o)
It\'s alive :)
Started on the first crank :) 2 sec cranking and it started up, and was ideling at 1500 revs :). Had a bit of an oil leak that needed fixing. So we did not get to dyno it today. But first thing in the morning it will be on. And the trumpets for the intake did not show up from jenvey anyway so we could not have done any thing special either.
But here is a video for you guys :)

I can\'t say how good WGT is, it\'s amazing how good this engine sounds :)
I can\'t wait to dyno it :)
JT
That sounds evil! going to sound great on the dyno
Quote from: chopper2k22;609347That sounds evil! going to sound great on the dyno
Yeah :) but it\'s foooking loud :P

Is Pip going to knock up a silencer for you ? or you leaving it that loud! :rollin:rollin
Quote from: chopper2k22;609349Is Pip going to knock up a silencer for you ? or you leaving it that loud! :rollin:rollin
The exhaust is going to be as it is, i will have a intake box made in aluminium when i get back to norway next week.
So it\'s going to be abit quieter, but it\'s never gonna be quiet :P
JT
Do you want some ear defenders for the journey home ?? lol
Quote from: chopper2k22;609351Do you want some ear defenders for the journey home ?? lol
I got a dodge ram 2500 cummings diesel to pull it with. And a Brian James trailer :)
So im gonna sit in that driving with cruise controll on at 70 mph :)
FDUK me JT that sounds evil as anything :):spank
what day are you going home, im coming over on friday morning to have a new clutch and was wondering if your leaving tomorow night?
Congrat\'s Jantore, it sound Fantastic
Awesome mate, simply awesome. Bet your grinning from ear to ear!

Sorry mate, leaving tomorrow night im afraid. Need to be back home on friday evening.
JT
ah thats a shame, was looking forward to seeing it, least i know ill have pip all to myself on friday, does anyone know if he will convert a twin to non-sequential by any chance?
awesoooooomemo
:eek::Giggle
you\'ve been holding my car up a little there but i dont care because that thing sounds amazing! make sure you stick some more video\'s of it up when your on the track with it :mmmm
:Thumbsup!a bloody Picasso of engineering awesome well done:Thumbsup!:Thumbsup!
Wow!! Thats sounds awesome mate :D:D congratulation to you all, as above a work of art and in a short amount of time too :)
Good luck with the mapping too :)
Quote from: turbotoaster;609386ah thats a shame, was looking forward to seeing it, least i know ill have pip all to myself on friday, does anyone know if he will convert a twin to non-sequential by any chance?
If it can be done they will be able to do it I\'m sure.
Jantore - Sounds great on the headphones. I once asked for a multi-rotor to be allowed into the Classic Thunder championship on the basis that they let you bore out a piston engine and this, ahem, the same thing. I got it at the time but think it\'s been pulled last year unfortunately when they went all wobbly on rotaries. The idea was to do something similar, so interesting to see it actually done in the metal.
Get that thing on the dyno, we need to see the plot.
S.
christ on a bike - what did you call it to make it so bloody angry? It sounds evil! "The fast and the livid"...
It made me do a sex wee
Holy mother of rotary gods! That sounds filthy! I likey lots and lots and lots... roll on mister dyno #;o)
That sounds fantastic :Thumbsup! I hope I get a chance to hear that in the flesh :yes
Well im still here. Jenvey managed not to send the trumpets for the intake yesterday. But they promissed they would show up by 9am tomorrow morning. So it will be back on the dyno again then. It\'s done alittle over 1 hour of running now. And it\'s so good. Got it up to about 5500 rpm today, and it did about 285rwhp at about 75% throttle. And about the same in foot pund of torque :)
So this thing will be evil at full throttle and 9000 rpm :)
JT
A short video from today :) It\'s fully drivable now at low revs :)

ooo i cant wait to see that tomorow, ill be there at 8am so should be fun to hear it on the rollers
That sounds incredible :D
Adam
Sounds & looks Awesome! I think I\'ve gone to 26B heaven :D :Giggle
Well done :D
@Agent Orange... Are you planning anything new for your RX-8... Could you imagine that with a twin Pettit Supercharger :2eek :wiggle :yes
Awesome, saw the back of this the other day at WGT and wondered what it was. Now I know!! :D
awaiting dyno results, should be 500rwhp to 550rwhp easy
And the rest - first posts say 650-700 was the intention.. If 3 rotor is 550bhp then that sounds about right I guess?
Big stuff really, quite something putting that down I\'d imagine. I think there are (approaching) 700bhp Mitsubishi Evo\'s in the Castle Combe series, but nothing RWD I can think of..
S.
Will look forward to seeing this at Gatabil. Hopefully we can make it. :Thumbs-up
J
The car made 470 at the wheels at the dyno today.
They stopped mapping at 8200rpm.JT was happy with results so far.Think they want to see how the engine works and perform, before going any further.
Making 50rwhp per 500rpm, so seeing 550 on the wheels at 9000rpm would sound correct.
Was told by JT that one on the forum here, made some video, hopefully he will post it up later today.
Anyway, Just had a quick chat with JT on the phone now, and he was heading for home.
For us lucky ones that will see this car, and race him on track, we will be looking forward to just hearing the roar of the car.
Thanks JT for letting us rotary heads have a peak on your build.
that will be me eh is one about, i would have posted all the details earlier but my net was down, got a load of videos off my phone as mp4s so gonna upload them onto youtube now for everyone to watch, trust me this thing is loud and sounds just like a motorbike!

Keep us posted on the figures.

not really for pip at WGT, he ran his own 3 rotor PP race car 20 years ago. ECU will be different though.
A lovelly piece of work
It will make 550-600rwhp once it\'s run in, and have CDI ignition put on it. And to be able to have a splitt timing map as well. DTA is making a software update for it during this year. As requested by pip.
The engine has about 3 hours of running now. And will be put on a silence quest, it needs to be alot more quiet for track days. Right now it\'s just plain out ....... loud.
Well as you guess im home, Just got in the door. And the score is Dodge Ram Moose 1-0
Killed a Moose 20 km from the norwegian border. The damn stupid thing decided to jump into the road straight infront of me. Quite difficult to stop almost 6 tonn of steel. With a bit of luck i only hit the moose on the butt, and broke it\'s hip. Damaged the left corner of the car. Drove it home after the acident. But half way home from the crash site, the intercooler burst. So almost no power in the truck. So that was interesting to drive the last 40 km\'s.
Good thing about it, that i don\'t loose any bonus, or hafto pay anything to get it fixed. As animal crash is free of charge :)
So gonna get the damaged apraised tomorrow or tuesday. And tell my insurence agency to pay me the money. And i will do most of the work my self. And buy all the parts from the US for about 1/3 of the price in norway. And then have a freind of mine, straigthen out what ever needs to be bendt out. And then repaint the entire car. As it got a few dings and scratches here and there. And i think will have alittle money left as well once it\'s done :)
But we will see. Think the damage is in the area of 6-10 000£
JT
Never seen one in the flesh but Moose are pretty big! Have hit a deer in the past and that made a right mess of my car at the time so a Moose must of done a lot
As long as your ok thats all that matters :)
Adam
Hi,
Always a shame to be down on forecasts, and hope you have no trouble getting to the revised figures. You\'re in safe hands on the dyno, and can\'t wait to see the sheets.
Good news on the moose and that you\'re OK. At least compared to if you\'d been towing and your pride and joy was inverted at the side of the road..
S.
Quote from: mattfduk;589238I am hoping to get near 550 at the fly with a 3 rotor:InLove
Pip was saying you wanted 700 fly wheel horsepower from it
I will be at WGT for that and at Oulton for your trackday!
Matt,
Has that 550bhp from a 3 rotor been done before?
Interested in working out likely power outputs from these multi rotors..
S.

Yes but, that\'s with 60 mm throttle bodies, Motec M800 with everything and CDI ignition. So he won\'t get that, most likely around 420-440rwhp
JT
Interesting, must admit I thought 450 was more realistic.
Is is your ancilliary spec that\'s costing the rest of the bhp with yours too?
Of course we\'ve all heard that the 4 rotor Le Man engine put out monster power, but then noise requirements were different, and I seem to remember Dave Warner (WGT) showing me a sliding trumpet throttle body arrangement they used too.
We looked at doing it with my old engine (could have used the rev counter for a very basic feed), but I made the mistake of telling one of the organizers first, and it was banned before I got home. ;-)
S.
The 787 Lemans had adjustable intake lenghts to work the power/torque powerband with moving trumpets in and out acc to rpm.
Indeed, that\'s what I said that was banned.
Not even a big old Moose can kill a Dodge ram truck, glad your ok Jantore, scare stuff.
Keep us updated when you get back on track.
O
So a week has gone since i got home from england, and not much has been done. But i have lifted the car abit in the front. And made a intake box for the air filter.
It\'s a temp one, untill we can figure out a good way to make one in carbon fiber.
Oh and i had a visit on thursday from a US magazine called 0-60, they like the sound of the car :)
So here is some pictures.

this thread just keeps getting better and better, pure rotary-porn!
are you going to mount velocity stacks inside the intake box or just mate it directly to the throttle bodies?

But what is a velocity stack?

the trumpets matt, infront of the throttlebodies :)
How\'s your car doing?
JT
So i finished my temp intake box today. Christ it was difficult to get the trumpets on again with the box in between :( I need to make a better patent for the carbon fiber box :(
I need a patent where i can mount the carbon fiber box on after i got the trumpet on. And now it\'s abit dificult to change the plugs as well. So need to find a good way to get the intake box on and off easy.
Well here is a short video of the reving of the car with the new box :)

Jantore, Maybe you can get some ideas from these guys or even contact them. http://www.advancedinductionresearch.com/photo_gallery.htm
I think the single inlet would be nice too, and the round design would give you more access to the plugs?
Holy mother of god
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
i took the seven out for a test spin today on the road, before i head to a drag strip tomorrow, where they have this drifting event this weekend. Where im going to test the car on the track they have put up :)
all i can say is ...., it\'s sick sick sick sick and so freaking loud eheh :)
matt forget about driving your car on the road, ul get pulled over by every cop you can see. it\'s impossible to keep it under 4000 rpm, as it will just buck and backfire the entire way hehehe
but damn it\'s sweet going up the range :) pulls so damn strong the entire way :)
and the intake box helped so much, it\'s alot more quite now then before. will see if i can have a video tomorrow of it driving on the drift track. i wont be drifting tho.

sounds like a bloody race car, good to see you having fun, do you know what your db\'s are yet?
Then engine peaks quite quick, maybe you would be better off with some longer gearing to improve putting the power on the wheels?
Quote from: Speedworks;616474Then engine peaks quite quick, maybe you would be better off with some longer gearing to improve putting the power on the wheels?
don\'t think that\'s a proble. it got quite long first and 2nd gear. the problem was that there had been a drifting event there, and there was alot of rubber and dirt on the track. cold tires, 40 psi of pressure in the tires and not adjusted camber settings after lifting the car 1 inch.
JT
That sounds and looks absolutely awesome - one can only dream #;o)
Here is a short HD clip from my test run of the car on sunday. I had to take it slow as it was the first time trying it. And it was so slippery due to all the rubber from the drifting event that had gone on there that weekend. I could hardly break without the front tiers locking, or when trying to accelerate in 2nd the rear wheels would just slip. But you get a good sound :)
http://vimeo.com/5236431
JT
Absolutely awesome! :god :yes
Had the car out on the track yesterday. After some messing with a exhaust insert to quiet down the noise we messured 97db. But it was too restrective, so i lost way to much power. So it will be removed this week. But the noise went up and up, as the silencing jot burnt up :P But look at carchemistry :)
Now it was the first real test of the car and it was pretty good to drive. But will need to go back to power steering as it was way too hard to turn into corners. And to correct if it would spin out or loose rear grip. So a power steering will go on as soon as i can find a good electrical one.
Now i have a strange vibration in the rear, wich i think comes from the new breaks. I will need to investigate, but when pushing the car, the same sound(vibration is there). But u can\'t feel the vibreation, but you can hear it.
Other then that, the water temps where about 92 degreece, ambient air temps where 28 degreece and about 80% humidity. Oil temps tho where abit high, 110 degrece after 7 laps. But this is mainly due to the oil, as i was running on 10-40 mineral oil. And the fact that my cooling ducts to the oil coolers only covers about half the oil coolers. Will make new ducting to get the entire surface of the coolers coverd.
So got some more work to do on it.
JT
Hi Jantore,
Wow more work still, just a quickie are you guys going to/ running at gatebil next weekend?
There are a few guys coming over with 3 door cosworths and I\'m tagging along as a spanner boy. Would love to see your 4 rotor

Hi JT,
Was really nice to have a quick chat with you at Gatebil last weekend!:wave
Ive managed to get a few video\'s of you out on track well mainly where the last bend before the start finish straight.
Gotta say some of the cars going around where out of this world, we all will be coming back next year for sure!.
