Does anyone know where I can get Grinder friendly prices on clutch master and slave cylinders for my TII. I swapped my slave cylinder out last year for a second hand one and all seemed well untill now. Think it may be the master cylinder but I may as well swap both out for new ones I think. I\'ve tried my local motor factors and they are both around £50 plus VAT, and Ebay well I don\'t want to go that route unless I have too. Can they be the same on another car perhaps?
We have both rebuild kits on the shelf, slave £19.21 and £19.47 master both ,
£2.00 for delivery and you have a total of £46.79 inc vat delivered,
This is the only way this can be done cheaply
Hope this helps,
£46.79 is under £50
thats grinder friendly by definition!!
Apologies for the thread hijack, but do sell a rebuild kit for Brake Master as well Clive ?

Rebuild kit is available at £94.52 plus Vat
Cylinders are different on the convertible to the Coupe / £264.69 and £223.61 plus Vat
All are special order
OK so whats the consensus on re-building the cylinders I\'ve got? Is it worth it or are they likely to go again. As in are the bores on the cylinders prone to wear making a seal kit a tempory fix as such, or are they pretty good and re-building them will be fine?
I\'d go ebay option or try rockauto

It\'s usually the rubbers that go - so the rebuild kits should do the trick. You need to be very clean when you do this - as any grit in there will give big problems. If you don\'t fancy doing the rebuild - then get some new/rebuilt ones
I don\'t mind doing the re-builds I had just heard that it can be a waste of time. Just waying up my options really.
Is it an uprated clutch?

Yep... And all cleaning/lubrication of internal components on assembly has to be with clean brake fluid - nothing else.
Hydraulic work is like hospital surgery (I think - never having seen any surgery \'cos I\'d faint!) pull and push the bits around, then sew it all back up, but you\'ve got to be spotlessly clean in the work area.
No its a stock clutch.
should be ok with a normal seal kit - i think i did a write up about it somewhere :D
Thanks guys, I\'ll let you know what route I go and the results.
i got a new mazda master. never used. £50
