Just getting quotes and wondered if anyone else had any issues getting their UK models to come up on insurers databases?  It does on some and doesn\'t on others.

I\'ve phoned Mazda and they\'ve confirmed it\'s a kosher UK model so I\'m not worried from that point of view it\'s just annoying when some companies can only quote you based on an import.

Mine was always insured with Admiral when it was standard (they dont cover any more than 6 mods though)  They where the cheapest by a way for me and the policy was based on the fact it was UK car.

Hope they give you a good quote :)

I\'m with A-Plan mate and they dont have a problem with the UK Spec car, and will accept and insure your mods too... No-one else could get near them on price to be honest...

Hi Jon,

I tend to think it\'s the companies your ringing as there are many many more import than U/K cars in existance over here with only 124 official cars brought in by Mazda themselves

BTW all U/K cars start with the chassis code of JMZ
