What car is it bud? Also what is happening when you try to start it, any noises or clunks etc. If you can describe whats happening when you turn the key i\'m sure we\'ll figure it out for you :yes

check you have fuel sometimes the fuel gauge can read wrong and also follow the de flood procedure, do a search on here its been documented a few times on the forum of the procedure

When you next go to it, try and start with your foot flat to the floor. It sounds like you\'re flooded, and I was a week or so ago. Using the de-flood procedure on the day it occurred didn\'t get me anywhere. But when i went to it the next day, and I knew it was flooded, I tried starting with foot flat to the floor on the accelrator pedal: fired into life straight away.

Worth a go.

Also check the fuel pump relay switch in the front fuse area next to the driver side front light :King

With the fuel pump relay,

you can tell if its not working as when you turn the key to fire the car up you should be able to hear the fuel pump in the boot, open the boot to see if you can hear it fire up. If you cant hear it then its not working.

If it was flooded they can run a bit rough to begin with. As long as it\'s running ok now, you\'re probably ok.

What method did you use to start it?

I just started again, and it started first time but only on one rotor it seemed ,for a few minutes again. I dont know much about these engines so dont want to play around and ruin it, but im thinking it may need a rebuild...? What are the symptoms for a rebuild?

I removed and cleaned all the plugs, removed the EGI fuse and cranked it over for a few seconds. put it all back in and it started, drove it, and it cut out when i put my foot down, once the second turbo kicked in.

Sounds like you may have possibly water seal failure.

If been standing for a long time water may have seeped in the camber, thats why it takes a long while to start, rotors have to push the water out before it\'ll start.

If you get it running on both rotors fine, leave it for a 3-4 days and if its hard to start again, its probably water.

You can get them pressure tested

Does that mean time for rebuild? I don\'t have a clue.

Jason at Super 7 near Henfield is probably your closest expert, mate. Give him a bell, he knows his stuff and is very helpful. 01903 810139.

Gotta admit, the symptoms you describe don\'t sound too clever if it really is still only firing one and the plugs etc are good, hope it\'ll be ok. Best get an expert opinion

That\'s what mine was like when the water seal failure got really bad.
