Stock FC oil cooler is huge - with good airflow it\'s probably good to 500 BHP. If you put the twin FD oil coolers in front bumper where those air scoops are - that\'s the air flow for cooling the brakes ;)
dtheb: yes, got idea from that vid lol thinking back though, think that fc had a rew engine in it
prof: i was thinking that about the brakes as someone said the pipes for my fmic would reduce cold air flow to them..
just a thought :)
Mine has twin FD coolers, well its not running yet:2Rolleyes
It has had to have custom pipes made, which cost me £250 plus the cost of the FD coolers. I think that fitting was straight forward. Shame I cant tell you the results.... yet:rolleyes:
ooh.. \'has had to have\' what have you done / going to do to ur fc?
as prof said, stock is good for 500bhp so no need to look into this but would be good to see what effects it has :)
Im hoping for around 500 ;)
Ah, another fc competitor for the strip... Lol
U been quite hush hush about ur baby...
You could run twin FD oil coolers with fans:

That car is running a Vmount
Not hush hush, just hasnt moved in 18 months, well apart from the odd trip on a trailor. Hoping for some progress in the next couple of months. And this will be a track FC, you can take the strip title ;)

Leeeeeets get reaaaadyyyyyyy to R.U.M.B.L.E........ :driving
As G@ndy has already stated the main problem you will have is the cooler pipes and will have to be made especially, a complete FD setup does not fit, there will be some modification to get done. I was going to do this but as the stock cooler is more than enough then i really could not see the point or expense. I was only going to go that route just to be different. I have since sold the coolers but still have the hoses if you need them. They are however the push in type as with all FD\'s and will have to be converted to a screw type end at the engine end to mate with the engine but again the lengths of the hoses are all different. Shame really as it would have been a good mod, still as long as you can get some good cooling to the brakes then it will be a good mod to do. Coolers can be expensive and they alone might set you back £60-100,add the hoses and mods to them then its an expensive setup.
