Title: New meaning to the phrase Pool Car
Post by: Gatesy on February 25, 2009, 06:45:12 PM
My RX is getting soaking inside.  I have a gap in the rear window seal which I know will let water into the boot but the floor behind the drivers seat is absolutely soaking and I cant find another leak anywhere.
Havent driven her for 2 weeks so it cant be spray coming off of the road.
Would the gap in the rear window seal cause all this?  When I open the boot I get a fair bit of water pouring out which I know could be the seal or the grommits around the spoiler but the back of the boot is bone dry.
Help she\'s starting to smell damp and the seats are starting to feel damp as well!

A spoiler leak sounds like something some rubber washers or plumbing \'O\' rings would fix cheaply

check your door weather strips & door seals..... this is another prime spot for water to come in!! have you got a sun roof?? if so, check the seals on that too along withthe water drain chanels!

Ditto.

Mine leaks, possibly boot or doors seals with a bit of sideways rain.  Went a bit mad with a jet washer once and it got in via the door.  The channel outside the boot rubber collects water and at the right angle it will run into the boot, rather than out by the rear lights.
