Title: Apexi powerintake small tube/bushing/pill?
Post by: AndersE on February 23, 2009, 12:10:20 PM
In my kit there are a small ca 2cm diameter tubepiece that according to jap instruction is to be inserted in the tubing to the upper filter.

What is this piece for, and won\'t it slip around in the tubing?

It definately will not slip around and may find it difficult to put in and the pipe usually has to be cut to remove it.

its something to do with air restriction and creating pressure/vacumn.....stopping too much air

this is probably the most unhelpful reply you will get :Giggle

I have used with and without...no noticeable difference.

If its the tube that goes to the airpump then I suspect it may alter the emmisions for the worse :2eek

Its to restrict the famed \'mooing\' noise that you get when using cone filters, with the airpump still active :)

Hahaha! I didn\'t have that bit with mine, so also didn\'t install it, and it sounded like a Friesian cow! :Hammer
