Title: 2nd Hand RX8
Post by: Laura_1977 on April 07, 2004, 07:20:41 PM
Has anyone sold one on yet? If so how much did you get for it? As we were thinking ahead for the future in case the fuel economy is too bad for us.

I have heard of one that is for sale here.

It was red, had a cloth interior (complete with cigarette burn) and low KM\'s. No idea of how good or bad, just i know my friend with an RX8 who is having steering problems demanded to use it while his was being fixed.

I think the for sale price was just shy of new price. Remember of course that this is Japan and they have been out here for nearly a year (my friends is 9 months old).

I don\'t know any more than that I\'m afraid.

I have heard a little rumor that due to people wanting one now and not wishing to wait some have changed hands for around £2000 over list price in the UK.:D :D :D :D

Laura, I think you can expect to get back at LEAST what you paid until the waiting list comes down a couple of months and/or the novelty wears off. I reckon you\'re safe for the next few months, which is probably long enough for you to make a decision!

Speaking of which, convential engines are the said to be most efficient where peak torque starts... is this true for rotary, and does that mean I have to drive everywhere at 5000 revs to save fuel? :D
