Post by: gandyRX on February 18, 2009, 05:51:50 PM
just a quickie, am i right in thinking that the front bumper only attatches to the car by bolts at the top and on the wings? only ask because i cant find anythin on how to attatch it and the cwest bumper ive got only has holes at the top and sides, or do i need to use part of the old bumper? like is there something in the middle that comes out that in need attatch to the new one,

thanks andy :3gears-rh

From memory there\'s about 4 bolts on the top when you open the bonnet, 2 or 3 bolts at the top of the wing and 1 bolt at the bottom of the wing.

But thats about it mate.  However im not sure wether the standard front bumper had any addition attachment around the centre or not.  I dont think so???

If you are referring to the cover the painted part.  Then yes you are correct.  It attaches at the top and on the fender wings.  If you are referring to the bumper, it is under the cover and there are I believe 6 bolts that attach it to the frame.

No, the bumper is not attached to the cover.  So when you remove the cover the bumper will still be attached to the car.
