Title: Lock not working!
Post by: Sooperkent on February 06, 2009, 06:25:19 PM
hi again another problem!!
i fix one thing anhd then another one breaks!!!!

basically the lock was frozen this morning, so i had to climb into the passanger door side as my drivers lock wouldnt unlock!

so once i was in, i kinda forced the plastic flipper thing up and it sort or came loose. i think iv damadged it totally, but the key still doesnt open the drivers door!!

its really a nuisance!
can anyone shed any light on the subject and how i would go about fixing the lock so that the key works and i dont need to climb in the passanger side everytime loll.

thanks guys
Soop

Sorry to say this but you have broken the arm on the other side of the handle so you will need a new assembly,

take the door card off and see if the long metal bar/pin thing that comes from the handle has popped out of the plastic holder in the locking part in the door. (tou\'ll see it when you open it) but i warn you it is a ba$*@d (ba$*@d) to do.

basically the cable snapped just before the plastic popin bit!

My FC does this, its still like this at the mo lol the lock has frozen up meaning that you can\'t move the rods inside the door. You were lucky, you had a passenger side to climb into lol I had to climb in though the boot only to find it wouldn\'t open! lol
