My FD does not like the cold :Giggle
Just went down to the garage to start her up after a month as ive been flat out with work:Grrr
Guess what?, its now flooded. Oh well will whip the plugs out in the morning when there is some daylight and get some fresh V-Power and go from there.
Nevermind all in a days fun of owning these lovely cars:god

How old\'s the engine on your car.
I\'ve not used my FD for abit whilst the weather has been bad but everytime i\'ve started it up it\'s fired into life on first turn of the key (that\'s with a couple of months inbetween use). I only have about 1600 miles on my engine though.
Its ok mate, its got 103km on the original engine.
I brought it from laeeq knowing that it was due a rebuild and ive been stock piling the parts to get it done.
Im not that fussed tbh its just handy to fire it up and take it for a drive down the A5 to the M1 and back home again, all in about 25mins round trip at a moderate pace.
Im going to be cracking on with it in the next couple of months.

Ahh, that\'ll explain the flooding then. Should be awesome when it\'s rebuilt though!..
Any idea on the compression she has got??
m4drx & I were laughing about how the hell mine is still going at the rotechniks meet the other week!! was down to about 4.6 - 5.2 bar
2 YEARS AGO!!!!
and still kicks in to life first time hot or cold (granted a little more cranking than most, but she goes ;)
Jono
Blimey thats good going!:yes
Im not sure really Jono. The front housing has a moody side seal as it was a bugger to get going once warm, but after the foot to the floor and crank it method it caught up with itself and fired up:Giggle
Has always been ok from cold though, but recently its been extra cold:spank
This engine will be rebuilt pretty much stock with some mild street porting to get the most from the twins. It should do while i put a Half bridge port motor together like Ashrx\'s spec.
