Post by: Don Pamponi on April 05, 2004, 09:22:39 PM
Any one know if or where I can get hold of old school revolution style deep dish wheels for my gen1?

revolution only do the 4spokes in 13 or 14\'\'.

deep dish wheels are to do with the width of the wheel and the offset, for a first gen you are pretty limited on width and an offset typically found on front wheel drive cars. so any wheels you order will not have a deep dish on them I\'m afraid :(

for example ... these are ford fitting compomotive ML\'s .. they have a low negative offset or even a zero offset.

notice they have fairly deep dish ... if you take a look at my wheels ... which are exactly the same apart from the offset  and PCD you can see the difference in dish

these were on a parts car that I sold with them still attached ... they were the wrong offset and rubbed the inner arches a bit but they did fit.

They fake the deep dish look by having the spokes cut back in on the rim

Have you seen this site?

It lists all the pcds & offsets for almost every car, so you can match wheels.

For instance - volvo S40\'s have the same offset / pcd as gen 1s
