Finally got some spare time to start the rebuild!
Block rebuilt - all went well, now onto the rest!
nice one mate :D
Very impressed mate, gives me the confidence to give it a go myself when required (or before) .
Hope to see your car out and about sometime soon mate!
tbh, the hardest part is getting it out and putting it back in the car.
Not been tempted to paint it mate? :mmmm im a little bit behind you on the old rebuild front (Half my parts went missing somplace between leaving the shop and arriving. :Grrr The seller is however fixing that. ) ^^
Nice work, well done
I have been thinking Mazda Rotary owners are the most likely to rebuild their own engine then say Skyline or Supra owners who give it to a Garage to do.
Big plus for being a rotary owner methinks

I was tempted to be honest, but couldn\'t be bothered with the extra effort in cleaning it to perfection!!
Plus, you can\'t see much once it\'s all back together.

I\'ve owned nearly every other map turbo car Inc a supra and skyline. Doubt I would attempt one of those myself!!
Rotary is quit simple when it comes down to it. The amount of guides and info available really helps!
I would like to attempt a piston engine one day!

Hope that doesn\'t make us simple then :p
I\'ll have a go at doing one some day :)
Adam
Flywheel and front cover are on now, along with the sump and main pulley.
Not long to go now! :D
Whooo! Thats great news! Actually Jim a little thread hijack. The rear oil seal how did you pull it out? was it just brute force and ignorance to get the red part separated? :rollin
All done!

Well done mate thats a top effort looking at the weather! big round of applause, I hope I have the bottle to do mine when it needs it not to soon I hope!
I\'ve seen a few diy rebuilds, but never seen any done in the spare bedroom lol. Good work btw. Lets hope it starts up and lasts a few years!
Awesome, excellent dedication to the cause in those conditions too, your fingers must have been freezing
