I have FD auto, which will have cat back, sports cat, cheap b!!!ard air filter mod and greedy smic. I have a boost controller already.
Would a e-manage be the way to go? I want to keep the auto box hold function and timing advance on gear change offered by the stanard ecu. So this means keeping the standard ecu. All these features are lost with an apexi.
Any advise welcome
I\'m suprised the Apexi doesn\'t support these features.
Emange Ultimate would offer some tuning capability over and above the stock ECU, whilst maintaining all the features the stock ECU delivers. It also has maps for auto transmission cars - A/T shift point, Anti Engine stall.
You could also get a piggyback ECU which should keep most of your standard settings but obviously do its stuff with the fuel etc.
The E Manage Ultimate is a great unit for the money. Lots of adjustments/data loging/ monitering if you want it
The Apexi definitely does NOT support this stuff. A known weakness with it. The gearchanges become harsher, and the gearbox is on something of a limited lifespan...
Thanks for the responses
Would a blue be ok for changes to fuel and ignition map or do I need the additional features of the ultimate?
Looking for a fit, map and then forget

You want the Ultimate (Grey) one, as that allows seperate Primary and Secondary Injector Mapping and also Leading and Trailing Ignition timing - something the blue cannot do. Not withstanding that - the Ultimate has much better control of fuel and ignition timing than the blue version, and comes with a USB connection - useful with modern laptops not having serial ports !
Thanks for that - ultimate it is then
Need a price or you have a source??
Need a good price - will be a few weeks before I buy, will need a custom harness (FD3S) also
