does any one know where i can get a waterinjection kit for my 93 twin
thanks
We have a second hand aquamist kit (system2d) + water tank.
The kit is worth over £700 inc VAT
We can sell it for £300 + VAT for the kit and the water tank.
Below is the details of the kit.

Introduction:
For those who wants a 3-D water injection MAP but do not want to spend the time-consuming task of mapping, this system is perfect for you.
The heart of the system is a newly developed controller that reads the PWM signal from the engine\'s fuel injector (including Peak and Hold type) and convert it to drive the High Speed Valve to deliver water, it draws less than 10ma from the pulsed line. This will enable the water injection to follow a fixed water/fuel ratio.
A 3-30psi Adjustable Pressure Switch (normally closed) sets the cut-in point relative to the manifold pressure. It just cannot be simpler for the user.
The system provides a pre-pressurised water line up to 8 bars and the flow rate is metered by our High speed Valve (HSV). This inline valve is made of high grade Stainless steel. As usual, except for the water tank, the system is supplied with everything needed to be fitted with ease.
The Fuel Injection Amplifier v2 (FiA2) ...
Apart from mirroring the fuel injection pulses, (http://www.aquamist.co.uk/cp/806-009/amp.JPG)it also monitors the fuel\'s duty cycle and converting it to 0-5 Volt for the purposes of data logging or just want to know if your stock injectors has maxed out. Two coloured LEDs are mounted on the top side of the box. The green LED indicates successful detection of fuel injection pulses and the red LED lights up when water in being injected ( preset manifold pressure is reached).
There is more...
(http://www.aquamist.co.uk/cp/806-009/pcb.GIF) Concealed inside this tiny exterior, it holds a very important diagnostic circuitry - it will detect BLOCKED water jet !!!
it reads the pulsed signal form the centre pin of the Aquamist pump and compares it to the water valve pulses and flags an error signal to yet another 1.5A output drive to trigger a relay or a boost limiting solenoid valve to bring the boost pressure to a safe level should a blocked jet be detected.
Don\'t forget to upgrade your ignition system with a HKS twin power or MSD ignition amp so that the spark doesn\'t go out when the water is injected!

Also downsize your turbo...cos blowing too hard could also put the spark out ;)
.... those aqumist kits are complex. Bloody hell what a technical nightmare, I never knew they were so complex. Can the pump on that kit run dry or will it burn out?
We sell a PINZ water injection kit here in NZ. Its around $1000 NZ for a system 1. Its a hell of alot more simple than that aqumist thing. It has a controll unit that reads off your map sensor and all you do is adjust the little knob to set what boost pressure you would like the WI to kick in. The water gose through a NOS type nozel at 100psi and blends with the air as a fine mist.
Pressure is adjusted with the use of a water pressure gauge and giving the map sensor a signal to turn the pump on so that the pressure switch can be adjusted according to the gauge. Once set to 100psi all you have to do is plug it in and enjoy. If the tank runs empty you never have to worry about the pump burning out as it is designed to run dry.
I have mine pluged right into the intake elbow and it has never blown the spark out, I just use the stock ignition system and HKS RE05 race plugs. My air temps on a hot day can drop as low as 13c, depending on how cold the water is. If the nozel size is to large then to much water could be deliverd causing a flame out. Easy fix, change to a smaller nozel just like you would with NOS.
I got mine from Coolingmist in the US, is a dual stage kit. Got it a few years ago and the car isnt mapped with it. I just like to switch it on when the temps creep up too high, especially in the summer.
You wont need uprated ignition amp if you are only using it for short bursts, mine is fine without.
But Sams kit at £300 is a good one ! If you get it through Coolingmist by the time you pay VAT etc it will be about the same.

Do you guys have issues with pro longed use of WI ?
I take it quite a few people have WI systems installedon there Rex\'s then ??

Aquamist are the best water injection units on the market, yes they are more complex then the simple boost activated ones you sell for good reason,
The "HFS 5" model, which I have has the 150 psi Shurflo type pump and acummaltor to ensure correct pressure, Failsafes if the water runs out where by it will cut boost to the wastegate pressure, also if the water runs out it will cut pump power, they also have a flow meter which will warn if there is a clogged injector, tbh the actual Aquamist nozzles are the best on the Market for spray pattern.
Also Aquamist models tracks injector duty so therefore you will always get the correct water percentage to fuel so you have less danger of blowing the spark out.
So depends what you looking for , if you looking for a drop you intake temps to keep things safe go for the Cooling Mist as you can get a simple kit for £200 you will get a drop in power, but you can run higher boost safely (this is where you make power as you can more boost on pump fuel) make sure you have a good ignition system.
If you looking to gain power with WI at the same boost pressures then Aquamist is the only option as you can control it more accuratly then a simple dumb boost activated system.
And Atomics second hand kit is a good deal as it has the new High Speed Valve included, although it does not have the flow meter but you can buy and add at a later date
In my opinion the aquamist is an over priced over complicated piece a kit which I deem to be unecessary for just injecting water.

Sadly not.
I have a standard system, but that is all. Just Pump, and 2 pressure valves. You could run it from the ECU possibly?
standard system?
what else wuld be required?
i\'m thinking of installing to turn up the boost a little more and for safety..
i dont know much about WI =(

lol can\'t believe i mised this reply. forget thumb fight lets get it on down the strip. Currently your about 11 seconds quicker than me but hey I ain\'t got no engine at the mo so thats not too bad considering.:Giggle

1) cant get out of bed/ refuse til well into the afternoon
2) got ot work at 4.30pm
3) no fc.. well not road worthy.
i\'ll giv you a call some time to discuss n pick you brains if thats ok =)
liam, if you down atomic... soon as they mention Jon is coming down... run... he makes u spend all the money you have lol!
lol.. i keep that in mind cheers =)
how did they empty ur pockets??
buckets, harnesses, jon called me to try and convince me to get coilovers today lol!!! i go to the garage and jon gets out LOADS of products lol!

sounds like u done lots to ur fd!
i take it you cant use the standard ecu with water injection kits then?
