Title: ABS Warning Light
Post by: C J R on January 18, 2009, 03:33:06 PM
Hi all,
I\'ve tried to search for related threads but with no luck, can someone help me ?
RX failed its MOT as the ABS light is flickering on and off.

All sensors look okay as do the wires (to the best of my visual inspection).

Any ideas how I can cure this problem ?

Many thanks
Chris

I had a similar problem....  Check the Fluid level that is what it was for me

Other than the above the only time I have know this is when an ABS  wire somewhere on the car has chafed though and was shorting,

Draco & Clive, thanks guys.

I guess I should have checked the level first. However the sensor wire on the turbo side is exhibiting a slightly burnt/bilstered outer sheath, so hopefully replacing this one should cure the problem.

Yeah, I think you should check the sensor and replace some cables....
