Title: Clutch slipping
Post by: deanm on April 04, 2004, 04:29:05 PM
Just wondering if anybody knows how much it costs for a new clutch to be fitted, and how big a job it is.Mine only seems to slip around 5500rpm in 5th

Dean, its not that big a job to change the clutch on an FD. Just make sure that the garage doing it have changed pull type clutches before. Different places charge different amounts, I paid 150 for mine to be changed.

This is also a good time to change the gearbox fluid as most of it will fall out when the gearbox is removed.
