Title: What does everyone think?
Post by: R1Dude on January 15, 2009, 07:11:05 PM
Booked in at WGT tommorow for mapping after a home re-build, just curious as to what BHP figures everone thinks? here is what I have done:-

Street port
550 primaries
1600 secondaries
Aeromotive fuel pressure reg
255 ltr fuel pump
Permanent non-sequential turbo conversion
HKS 80mm downpipe
80mm stainless exhaust
front mount with 76mm pipework
Greddy elbow
HKS SSQ blow off valve
No air con or air pump
lightweight pulley kit
Re Amemiya Induction
Re Amemiya Lightened flywheel
Re Amemiya Twin hard plate clutch
Hks clutch release bearing
Apexi power fc and commander

Very excited yet terrified at the same time, only running 0.5 bar of boost and 5100rpm rev limit, it feels very strong and Pip has told me it sounds sweet, im on my second oil change almost at 1600 kilometers, doing another in the morning before I go, bought some Pro long off Clive so that will be going in, fingers crossed I drive her home with ???bhp ready for the track, thanks Ade :)

I would expect to be over about 330bhp at the fly wouldn\'t be surprised if you went quite alot more than that tho.

Think 350 at the fly is about as much as you can wish for from the stock twins, but I would have thought about the 325 - 335 mark ish??

I got 374bhp at 7k and just under 300lb/ft at 3k on stock twins (still sequential) with a similar setup to yours. 350bhp would easily be possible I reckon.

You\'ll get way more than 320 at the fly. Mine was mapped at wgt on the original 46,000 mile engine and i got 320 fly with 3" full exhaust, pfc and stock injectors fuel system. I would expect about 360+

LOL, Sounds like Pips got his hands Full. A mate of mine has his FD there Too having a Single Turbo conversion finished off (that will be the Black UK spec with white rims and the LOUD exhaust) from what he\'s told me it sounds like Pips going too be a Busy Chap tomorrow.

360+ I reckon :)
I made just over 340 at Pips on a similar spec, but with 99 spec twins still running sequential, stock ports, and stock fuelling. So if you only make 330 atf then you\'d be very unlucky!
Going back in a few weeks iwht a new fuel system but everything else the same,s ee what i make :)

Right then boys and girls, mapping session went brilliantly apart from a couple of small things, firstly an oil leak from the oil metering pump Pip sorted very quickly, it kept blowing off boost hoses, sorted them and I had not thought about a boost controller so Pip could only map up to 0.5 bar of boost, still made 318bhp though, pulls like a train, revs as fast as my bike and it feels sooooooooo good to be back, Pips advise is to do another 500-700 miles whilst sorting the controller out and he will mapp it to 0.9 so a bit more power to come :burnout
