right tryed to undo the rear coilover tonight for some lowering and the pinch bolt in the bottom ring of the coil over snapped so i need to drop the whole rear unit to gain access to removing the snapped stud but i need help with this... whats the secret to getting this yellow arrow nut undon without the white circled part turning ??????????

you should be able to slide a 17mm open ended spanner on the circled bit and then wedge it against the suspension arm to stop it from turning
not its like a ball joint with a nut on the end
yes and theres 2 flat edges on which you can get a 17mm open ended spanner (not ring spanner)
