Its awesome, everything that gran turismo should have been (and thats coming from a die hard ps2 GT lover!).
I know this game has been out a while, but for us new folk its awesome.
I love the editing options and mod options.....finally a RWD CRX ive created, i\'ve always wanted and wondered what a RWD CRX would be like, and this game has confirmed it.....UTTER CRAP.....lol.
Its pretty hard to control with no traction control with its short wheel base!
Seriously though, what a game.
I cant play online yet as my xbox is too far away from my internet modem, i just need a wireless device for the xbox, and away i go.
i will join in for some xbox fun once set up though!!

Racing - no point drifting in a game with Grinder involved, he just flicks you off of the track! :Giggle

I don\'t know why, but there seems to have been an uprise in people playing the game again.. We used to have loads of pre owned copies in the shop and now we rarely see it being traded in.. also a lot of people on my friends list have started playing it again..

just turn off all the assists and its fine. I find the key is using about half throttle, or just keep trapping full throttle.
Turn off the assists??? are you mad man? I find it hard enough with them all on.. Wish there was a drag strip though as i know for a fact nothing could touch my fc...NOTHING!!
lol if you\'re losing traction you\'re going to fast. Also you wanna use light throttle in the corners. Untill i figured this out, i thought the game sucked :P
Making sure you have the correct setup is important too!
I have a great D class Mx5 - handles like a dream, drifts etc - does all you could possibly want :)

do you not have different set ups for track and drift?
also am i right in thinking that the stiffest you can have a track set up is the best? . I was always under the impression that stiff = good, but it usually makes the cars a bit jumpy
What set-ups do you go for, as in a basic drift setting?
well for drift i usually have the rear stiffer than the front with the shocks on the rear with more bump and rebound stiffness than the front. Stiff ARB\'s at the back. Then i have some toe in on the front, only a small amount. then about 2 degrees negative camber on the front and about 0.5 negative on the back. This is on LFS though. On forza i use an lsd but i have no ideas about the settings

You guys sound like you are quite into this game.. my technique is simple.. pick a fast car that can do a 180, hit the side barriers and still keep up with everyone else.. screw all that fine tuning crap.. :)

Some wide boy in a Lambo decided to race me.. just as the lights went green he laughed and said "See Ya".. and then to his surprise my FC shot away a head of him! haha.. he was like "WTF!!.. that is one fast RX7!".. i felt like a champ. i have the black mic though, it doesnt seem to have the same connector that the white one did on my old 360 ?
also i decided to beef up my fc before our race then turn everything off.....big mistake :P
The black mic just connects the same. The only difference is the mute switch dangles from the wire now.. also, did you make sure the mic volume was turned up? The volume level is attached to the mute switch. Will you be about tonight?

im still trying for the 1m online achievement - but its taking bloody ages - i can only seem to win 1500 per race - so it could take me a while
got the nissan speedway down to 34.662 in a GT40 - think it put me rank 4000 in the world :D
I was in the top 3000 for the time trial on the \'ring - seem to have dropped to around 4500 now? (The guy in top place has done it in 5.59!!!!)

its pretty easy to finish - some of the acheivements are arkward - took me ages to get enough money to buy EVERY car - i reckon it costs me about 16-17million credits :D
