Title: Best sounding exhaust without decat
Post by: fly on January 13, 2009, 03:54:35 PM
I am considering buying a racing beat dual tip cat back system from mazdarotaryparts, i have listened to a sound clip on youtube (albeit a quite poor quality one) but i would like some opinions on other exhaust systems, i want one that sounds  fairly quiet on idle but raw and metallic at high rpm and WOT.

Thanks!

Sorry gandy but i would prefer a twin tailpipe to keep a stock look to it, thanks for the offer though :)

Do you mean Jasma?
If so, that\'s not a brand, it\'s a Japanese legality standard.

I\'ve got the RB dual tip with a decat silencer, so i imagine it would sound similar to that with a non decatted exhaust.

At first, it was too quiet, but I\'ve grown to absolutely love it. It\'s got a quiet but deep idle, and sounds amazing on full chat - the noise on WOT when the second turbo icks in is glorious.

None of the rasp that you get with a lot of exhausts either.

If you want a dual tip there isn\'t too much available - Kakimoto do/did one, as did Apexi, and htere are the plethora of eBay junk exhausts as well.

You can buy the ovals by themselves and just get someone to weld it on. Not many exhausts out there with ovals, pretty much all of them are round.

I got the WGT backbox, and SMB silenced decat with stainless manifold, but they\'re not cheap. Sounds lovely though. Nice and quiet on motorway, but roars when that second tub comes online
