Title: Yellow FD on a trailer M6 Preston
Post by: TiddlesRX7 on January 11, 2009, 09:00:15 PM
Bright yellow FD being towed on a trailer south bound on the M6 11/01/09 around 10am. Looking very smart. Was gonna give you a beep but was driving my sister in laws Corsa and felt embarassed!

That would have been myself mate. Enroute to Wgt for service and MOT. She is a little less smart now as she sustained a nice bruise on her rear end  when winch cable snapped resulting in a collison with a lorry.

Oh mate I\'m sorry to hear about that. I was thinking how nice the back end was too as I was chasing (LOL in a Corsa!) down the road. Nice and bare arsed! Was loving the wheels too they set the car off nicely. I was heading to Chester myself, if I had known you were going to Pip\'s I would have stayed behind you for a bit longer.

lol sorry let me explain...the car was well strapped down, handbrake on and in gear while in transit but..

...while I was winching the car off the tilt bed trailer outside WGT, the rope snapped sending it careering down the ramps and 15ft along the road, closely followed by yours truly ....before finally colliding with an immaculate Stobart Lorry which was parked behind.

I picked the wrong weekend to stop smoking.

Thanks guys but damage wasn\'t too bad at all.... mainly paint chipped and scratched, seems the rear bumper absorbs a fair deal of force. Strangely enough the lorry came off worse with cracked bumper plastics and number plate.
