asked the seller a few qu\'s about it.
more info the merrier basically :D
cheers
Suspiciously cheap...
not sure where its imported from either, the back looks UK to me
Just a very late UK car IMO - theres a few 92K FC\'s knocking around.
well he said it was imported in 2002 according to the log book, could it be european?
def not form jap.. as u say.. rear number plate is not jap and side indicators on front wing are not jap.
neither are the rear lights. and their is no single brake light
I think it is UK, apart from what has already been mentioned I think the door speakers are UK as well (ones above the door handle) Shame none of the engine bay as that might shed a few pointers. Looks can be deceiving!! My white FC is actually a JDM import 1988 S4 but totally converted to UK S5 and that includes the entire loom. The only thing not UK is the external bits. This might be some sort of hybrid, dont know maybe he just assumed it was imported.

yea thats what i said, but i emailed him and he said the logbook said it was imported. Owell if we do buy it, expect lots of new help posts :D
It may well have been imported from another country but maybe not Japan. It would be interesting to find out. On the downside it may well be a hybrid and had a smash, all the bits he could get might only have been UK stuff so you never know.
looks to me like a northern Irish reg, i\'m guessin that\'s where it was imported from, hence the uk spec, "rare turbo import(200+bhp)" this just needs a few commas, "rare, turbo, import, (200+bhp)".
My own cab is a \'92 and declared an import on the registration document.
It is identical in every way (repeaters, speakers, rear lights) to the red car in the ad, except no rear wing on the boot. Perhaps some kind of run out production run using all available parts?
What are the usual differences between UK and JDM spec?
Kim
there is a centre brake light mounted on the boot.
The rear lights are wider due to the jap number plate
There are TWO reverse lights, instead of one reverse and one fog of the UK spec lights
Also the jap cars Have "Savana RX-7" badges
probably more, like different front fogs? Oh, a flare :D
edit: look at pdtaylors avatar
Mines definately UK spec then, as far as those items go, at least.
Perhaps imported from Channel Islands? That would go some way to explaining the relatively low mileage on my car.
When I get a chance I\'ll speak to the parts man at Mazda to see if he can shed any light via their computer system.
Kim.
yeah the one in the pic is defo a UK car :D
and the cab never came with a rear spoiler - so its prob off something else ( someone off MRC once put one from a vauxhall belmont and it was a superb fit )
humm the door speakers - i have them on the EGI but not in the TII - im sure they were only there on the S4 cars
shame there isnt an engine bay pic - as the JDM have different writing on the intercooler
also the JDM has indicators on the front bumper moulding - and not in the middle of the wing
