Title: alternator bracket?
Post by: leeincivic on January 06, 2009, 11:21:40 PM
ola!!

i have removed both my air con and powersteering which i will be replacing with a saxo pump and was wonderin if there is a bracket available to replace the one which holds on the alternator at the minute?

or can i just cut this one down to make it look better and also remove the tensioner pulley used by the now redundant power steering pump?

any insight to this gents?:xconfused

I just painted mine black and left it standard shape. No tensioner pulley left on mine.

yeah that was my plan at first but after trauling through rx7club i noticed nearly everyone who removes a/c and pas just do away with the big cast bracket all together as it seperates from the boomerang shaped alternator adjuster,

i took the bracket off today to see how sturdy the atlernator would be and it is absolutely solid so may keep it like that:Thumbsup!

I was just meaning the boomerang bit - plenty strong enough.
