How do bud.

No indy workshops in the northeast, but as Steve says if you are willing to travel a couple of hours there are a few.

Hayward North - Donny
WGT - Northwich, Cheshire
Lindop - Chester / North Wales.

There are a few of us in the Newcastle area (mainly RX7s tho) if you need any info :)

TBH dealer prices are not bad at all. We also use main dealer for all the work and they are actually a little cheaper than " Rotary Specialists".

i did a little search in the north east area and found these. has anyone used them before for any work on rx8\'s.

i know how to work a spanner, but to me the most important bit is having the book stamped every year for the resale.

any feedback would be greatly appreciated as these are all deciding factors wether to buy one or not.
2hrs is quite a distance to have some work done, unless you offer free pickup and delivery ;)

XO - Gunther knows his stuff but the waiting list can be masssive!  Been trying to get my bros MX5 supercharged project finished since the summer.
JM - Jurgen is Gunthers bro, so would be the gents at XO doing the work (I would have thought)
Envy - Do they service / tune, thought they only supplied parts?

Still waiting on the MX5 being fully complete bud.  A conector to the GReddy ECU is required and a MOT.  Its taking ....... ages.  Good job it aint show season and the weather is bad!

Thats a long time to fit a supercharger Chris, Last one i fitted took me 3 days and it was out and on the track, im guessing the work being carried out is not just a supercharger ?

Its the full works bud.  To be fair the charger didnt take a long time for the lads at XO to fit, its all the ancillaries and waiting for them to arrive in the post that takes the time.  Each time something new is ordered you get to the back of the que, as its a busy garage!

A conector was broken on the GReddy emanage ECU and therefore we are awaiting a new one to allow for final mapping.  My bro has therefore decided to air on the side of caution and use the other MX5 until the car can be fully mapped.  MOT is up too which is booked in for this weekend.  Fingers crossed for a pass!

On the plus side it was 198bhp and a final map is needed :)
