You guys probably know about this company allready, but thought i would atleast pass on some up to date info. They passed over to another office at first because of the mods but it only added 35 notes to the bill.
If you find better ill be glad to follow...

sounds like a very good deal,if in an acident would they repace like for like or just standard parts? ie you have a blitz exhaust would they put the same back or only standard?
What i dont get is how our cars come under a classic policy?or is it the owners that are classics?lol:p
Not much good for me with limitations on age etc but same as Rob not sure how the RX7\'s can be classed as classics heh maybe a future classic policy or similar?
Edit: Mine at 22 with 3 years ncb on this policy and 3 pts with all mods declared is £800 fc with elephant :)
classic insurance starts at 15 yrs now, which is a bit mind blowing as i really call chromed up spoked wheeled cars as classic but who am i to complain. They are like for like replacements. Age doesnt matter if it is only yourself on the insurance. they just ask that in order to have a second driver the main policy holder is 30 yrs old. so if your 22 and it just yourself there wouldnt be a problem. I imagine if you are running serious mods things could get tricky. but as mine is not too mental ( just yet) things are reletively cheap.
I know this may not suit everyone but i thought id just let people know that if they do have an early FD , this could be a great deal under the right circumstances.
regards
I second this place £350 ish 5000 miles all mods declared (single turbo etc...).
English speaking telephone help too, as in they understand what your talking about hehe :)
Will look into this next year when Im 30 and the fd is 16 years old. If i insured my fd, and had the missis as a named driver, would she be able to keep her 2 years ncb?
i think ncb can keep for at least 1yr, not sure how long u can keep ncb b4 it \'expires\'
else can just alternate the policy between you and ur wife each year
I think as long as you own and insure another car, the insurers are happy. I think you must own and insure another car with you on that policy. not 100% but i think thats correct as I was asked those questions. Your Ncb is not needed, they just ask you if you\'ve had any claims or convictions/driving offence in the last 5 years.
Just tried this lot - they let me list of all my mods and go through the whole process, before ringing me back and telling me they can\'t insure the car if it\'s more than 280 bhp :(
NCB last for 3 years to the date - Know this as when my Dad came back to this country to work again and needed to drive again he had lost all his NBH by 20 days! :(
I had a quote from Sky and one other (can\'t recall) I\'m 26, 3points, 6NCB, car on drive and got quoted £500 - all mods declaired, and like for like, 3rd party on others cars, 250 XS, FULL COMP. Shame about the 280bhp thing above... but how did you manage that quote Grizzly? you running a single under 280BHP?? need to take out insurance next month too!! might just ring them anyway... :D
i have no idea, i too use these and have all declared, more than 280 hp. about £350-400 mark. 5000miles
Ooh im gonna give them a try for my possable 1990 FC cab which is lightly modded and used as a second car!!!
Just sent an email now but i may call them tomorrow!!
well, I just did a quick online quote, and got under £400, the cheapest I\'ve had so far is £925 fully comp, I think I may get a full quote off of them soon... cheapest by far, I hope it really is as good as it looks
Yea sorted me out too for a car I maybe Buying :wiggle

so for a bloody quick quote - its about £50 cheaper than what i pay now :D
just a shame i cant insure the BMW in the same way - but thats my first car and the rx7 is the second
If you call them directly they often save you even more money!!!!
i will do that once my renewal is due ( think its next month to be honest )
god knows how you lot are getting it SOOOOOOOOOOO cheap on FD\'s
with the TII cab the lowest i can get it to is £176 - thats with a 200 excess and 1500 mile limit
so not sure what im doing wrong ( dont get me wrong i still think its a good price - but people here younger than me with more BHP are getting cheaper quotes )
although they said that with this policy - i dont need to have the RX7 as a 2nd car - so thats cool ( although i do have a BMW as a daily drive )

Just use the rex but to be honest, i only drive it when im bored (which ends up being alot of the time):3gears-rh:3gears-rh , I can walk to uni and get the train to work. Making the limited mileage not such a problem.
I just gave them a call and they said they wouldn\'t even touch me on a modified car untill i was 25... Though they suggested i email them with lists of mods/pictures etc and they will see what they can do
Did you have to this kind of thing too?
