About a next gen. rotary Mazda Sports car!
reason for starting this, are some new drawings in the german "AMS"

dont know why but it looks like it has a evo 10 ish look to the front of it when i first seen it!
It looks nice but in my eyes it still has to much RX8 in it.
I still like the drawing I have attached best. It\'s not the true RX7 I hope Mazda will make one day. If the artist could work alittle more on the roof line, bring back the double bubble some how. Change the sharp door mirror and maybe some realistic wheels, I think it\'s a good start.
Looks like mazda\'s attempt to breed an Audi R8 with TT.
It\'s ok. Not a patch on the FD or FC for that matter.
definetly has alot of rx8 looks about it but i can see what you mean about the evo x i think its the front lights
I think mazda makes the best looking cars nowdays, so im sure that it is a fine looking vehicle. Lets hops that its a rotary turbo, what about hydrogen rotary turbo?
Although it might be little too early to have a turbo with the hydrogen. But mazda have done a lot research on ....el engine with hydrogen or combined use with normal petrol.
looks more like new 8 than 7. though i think the roof line (a / b pillar) looks like its taken from the fc =)
That looks like the new 7 ish car they keep talking about. New 7 insofar as it\'s going to be £30k plus new and aimed nearer the Porsche Cayman end of the coupe market rather than the Audi TT end that the RX8 is at.
I think the next 7 needs to be as close to the Furai as possible. That\'s an awesome car.
The second pic is just someone\'s sketch from RX7Club to show how they\'d like to see it, hasn\'t come out of the Mazda design studio.
As a few people have said. It has a very RX8 look to it. Basically looks like an 8 crossed with an Audi TT/R8.
I really like the image in the OP. I\'d not be dissapointed if that was how a new 7 looked. The image posted by Oliver\'s nice, but seems much more concept. I think there are some things from the RX8 design that could be carried to the 7.
the first pic looks pretty nice, if not a little bulky. looks more like it\'s trying to be a \'super\'car than a sports car.
fingers crossed for a 20b power plant!!
i think the biggest flaw is that its not "flat" like the fd. though the concept in the second pic has achieved this and looks ace, slightly ott imo, still nice!!
Drawings are always kinda tongue in cheek, the first drawings of the RX-8 were very exciting but nothing like what it ended up as :Hammer
I think they should just produce a new FD with a 3 rotor of larger displacement. No turbos should be good for 400hp.

I like the looks of both drawings. I would like to see it be a 2 seater, 3 rotor NA and about 2600lbs. I think that would be a screamer.
i dont like it, that shap wiil age not like our FD\'s whats wrong with them have they gone mad. i hop they dont make that.
