Title: GruppeM and carbon fibre bits
Post by: MintyFresh on April 02, 2004, 09:49:48 AM
Where can i order a GruppeM ram charger from?  Is there anyone in the uk?

Also, i recently saw a nice carbon fibre engine cover type thingy. but i cant remember who made it.  i though tit was carbon concepts but i was wrong.  im sure its a company with a two word name both beginning with C and one of them being carbon.  I only saw it yesterday, but ive forgotten where.

Thanks

Ive tried there.

All the dealers on their list deal in high end ferrari\'s etc... Ive emailed them all, but as yet heard nothing back.

I was wondering if there was anyone more mazda based.

I dealt with them directly and found them to be very good. Birds (http://www.birds.uk.com/), although BMW people are dealers and offered to sort me out with one for my CTR. I think Power Engineering in Uxbridge may be a dealer too.

I had one on my Civic Type R - My GruppeM Review (http://www.japmobiles.com/articles/article_detail.asp?ID=8)

If I were keeping my RX-7 I wouldn\'t go for one due to the fact I\'d be stuck with the stock intercooler. If this doesn\'t bother you go for it! The quality is amazing and carbon fibre will help keep the air as cool as possible.

Go on tell what the damage was to your pocket!
What air filter is used with that? or is that inc. in the kit?

Most of £500 delivered.  I telling myself its worth it.

It has a K&N filter incorporated into it.  The way i see it, if its good enough for a ferrari to upgrad to, its good enough for my rex.

does look boss mate one question, for the ignorant one ie me... what is the story with the air getting in via the front oraphise bit does it just theoretically go thru the gap between the bonnet & bumper? Mine did have a fair gap between the 2 (even bigger now lol) but just thought i\'d ask as it\'s similar to where stock thing takes it from? or is it from lower down?

Just wondered as surely if it\'s from gap between bonnet taking air across this whole section rather than just by the catch would give more cold air?
Si (he has an idea & making most of it till sum1 pea\'s on it lol)

Can you only use these with the stock intercooler or can you fit in conjunction with an uprated stock mount intercooler?
