Poor fitment of the first set, cheap chinese replacement bearings, poor wheel alignment, overpacked with grease, wheel out of balance,  large wheel spacers or loads of track time are a few that spring to mind.  Has to be something fairly major to wear a set of bearings in a year

Having large spacers on wheels will put more pressure on the bearings if you are primarily doing road driving and so straight lines (it\'ll put less pressure on them when track driving with lots of hard cornering). Having no spacers/offset does the opposite.

As above though, something must be wrong to have done two in one year. No amount of bad alignement, spacers or whatever will take out a new bearing in 6mths.

Without a few more clues we could speculate all day. What was the condition of the bearing/grease on inspection ?.  My first choice would be grease contamination , dirt, grit etc takes little time to destroy bearings.
