Title: I cannot open drivers door
Post by: B9 KLF on December 22, 2008, 11:14:30 PM
As the title really, and, it is was a bit tricky since the car was parked close to the garage wall on the passenger side - so I had to limbo dance in thro the rear hatch.

Ive got in to the car now and opened the door but find the outside door lever is still jammed solid.

The lock works ok as does the remote, just the handle jammed i.e. it will not pull upwards.

Any suggestions please.

you can pull off the plastic part that sits inside the door, behind the actual lock. There should be 2 bolts to undo and you can remove the lock itself, something may be loose or broken but you should be able to see for yourself bud once it\'s apart

Hurrai, I think I\'ve fixed it by taking off the plastic cover, and the two bolts and peering inside :Thumbsup!

It was just stuck so a careful application of white ptfe grease sprayed in and it\'s working again.

Left the door open for a couple of days though and the battery went flat due to the interior light and since it is a gel type battery, that was\'nt very clever

Charging the battery now to see if it\'s ok.

Merry Christmas.
