Post by: cush on December 19, 2008, 05:15:34 PM
i have a water leak somewhere down the turbo side near the bulk head i think it might be a water pipe to the turbo but has anyone or know where i can get a diagram of how the water system runs on a fd3s 1993 thanks

hi cush there is a metal water pipe that runs behind the turbos, bet thats leaking mine went a few years ago. but you need to remove the turbos to get at it

Yes it could be the metal pipe that feeds each turbo corroded but first inspect the rubber  pipe that runs from the back of the throttle body near the bulkhead and goes onto the top of the engine as the water could track down near the turbos from there

Hope it\'s this for you as this is a real quick fix,

I think there are also 2 small rubber hoses connecting to the metal hoses, around LIM area i\'m sure i had to do mine ans used the Mazda ones while i was at it!
Good luck Bob

had a quick look today and it is coming from a pipe that goes to a metal pipe near the first turbo but dont know how i am going to get to it as it is just behind the turbo and would rather not have to remove it.

Is it the rubber one? they get very hot behind the turbo, i did mine a long time ago, but i think my engine was out with turbo\'s off when i did it! someone with more knowledge will be along shortly,
Good luck
