Changed my drivers door a few months ago whilst getting respray, this door sounds nothing like the last one which closed with a nice thud lol. New door sounds quite tinny, anybody had this, got a cure before i go in to investigate.

A common problem on Fd\'s, If you take the door card off you will see a strengthener that runs across the inside of the door skin, it should be bonded to the skin but over time etc it bonding agent brakes down and they separate. So what you need to do is get some mastic or another Adhesive sealer and rebond the Skin to the strengthener, it may be awkward with the window mech still in etc but the more you get between the two rather than around the outside the better.
Cheers mate, it is that kind of sound, i might try tiger seal or something. It makes the car sound cheap so i don\'t shut the door if someone is walking past lol. have you had this yourself?
