Alright folks,
See what you think of these…
My mate has just bought a digi SLR and is trying to get to grips with it. I thought I’d give him some practise and suggested a couple of night shots of the car. We will be trying a few different venues next time, and I’ll actually clean the car too!
Just need a clean-up on photoshop to get rid of the non-required lens-flairs and should be getting there.
Chris
p.s. apologies for the file size ;)

Was saying to Ada yesterday how much I love this car :mmmm
Yep he was indeed. Nice pictures Chris. :Thumbs-up
Adam
Ooo me ears were burning, lol
Cheers for the thumbs up lads. Its just nice to get the car out for a bit :)
Chris
pretty good Chris and no need to apologise for the filesize as the pics aren\'t that big!
Car looks great as always.... although I think day, compared to night shots do it far more justice! #;o)
Looking good chris.....what camera has he bought?
Thats 1st pic is ace, looks like it should be in car mag.
Dan - Erm, good point, I better find out bud! ;)
Ash - Cheers bud. Its a bit tame tho, they normally insist on hanging out the back end of a car doing 50mph, lol
Chris
Dan,
The word on the street is its a Cannon 400D and he was using an 18x55mm lens with tripod and (home made cable release) :)
Chris
looking good chris, forgot how good this car looks, havent seen pics of it for ages.
That\'s a nice shot! What is it with moody street light shots? They look the mutts nuts!
Had a quick play with the first image. Hope you like the results. :)

Looks awesome, Chris. Those wheels suit it so much better than the ones that were on before. Excellent shots, dude
Fantastic images chris, Superb car :D what rebuild did you end up having ? did you stick to stock or have it ported ?

Cheers buddy :Thumbsup!....i was hoping you was gonna say that, i fancy one of those myself!
Pics look cool bud :driving
nice pics.. the glare you get from the top right corner.. next time if you take a pic like that then you can get rid of the glare (unwanted light) by placing ur hand towards that corner of the lens thus putting the lens in shadow so wont glare up like that. can do the same in sunlight if u get my drift..?

They look great, and the last one looks class. I\'ll add them to my folder.
Cheers :)

Hi Steve,
Just went for the standard re-build in the end, she\'s quick enough for me most of the time with just bolt-ons ;)
Boost issue to sort before the weather warms, then I can play again!

Ta for the tip bud, ive seen our works photographer use a shroud around the lense and even a piece of graded filter glass for really difficult light.
Its alot more involved than I thought!!! I may end up joining Dan and getting an SLR myself tho...
Group buy FTW, lol!
Chris

Chris
thats is a good tip for sure!!!
i bought a Sony H2 "SLR Like", just over a year ago......its a good camera that supposed to be like an SLR to use....but easier.
Ive found that its too big for holiday / day use....and not good enough for SLR type work :spank....i wanted a camera that could do everything.
The price of digi SLR\'s have gone down dramatically....and those Canons get brilliant reveiws!!
For a fancy point and shoot with priority settings etc, it takes an ok picture for whats a really old camera.

But for fast moving stuff....even with the shutter priority on slow speed to create an impression of speed.....it seems to take and age from the moment you click the button to when it actually takes the photo as it auto focuses!
Ooo, cheers for the piccy guv, another one for the collection!
Some good work there, liking the angles of the different shots too :)
Chris
looks spot on mate! would be good to get a shoot with us all togeather like! even tho mine is sort of stock lol!
edit: this first pick would look mint if he used a long exposure while a car drove by or something, even tho that road never gets any cars there lol!
Alrighty Steve!,
Believe it or not thats what we were going for, only prob is we had about 2 cars pass our way all night, lol!
Yup, we should get a night-time shoot going for all us NE types. I\'ll look for some spots for the shots in Newcastle(ish).
Youre car is spot on bud, dont worry, itll look cracking :)
Chris
Not changed much over the years eh! Just looking at a picture of it when it was yellow up in Edinburgh about 4 years ago.
