Title: Street Port - Re-use??
Post by: DMDRIFTING on December 03, 2008, 09:11:54 PM
Hello,

i have a worn 13b with low compression results, drives ok, starts with a bit of fuel/flooding smoke from exhaust.

It has been street ported and all i would like to know is can the Street Ports on this engine, be used again? If i were to have this rebuilt now. (Obviously before it goes pop)?

yes,  unless the plates are worn beyond use.  the same goes for the rotor housings.

if they are slightly worn the plates can be lapped to give a new lease of life

Thats good news, just got it back from REWorxs and Geoff said the same. Its not worth him mapping as it might have a sticky or chipped seal. But going to get  a run around for work and  get  it to him got a rebuild while its all ok!

Thanks for the replies
