Anyone been to this? I`ve been wanting to go for a few years now and am deffinatly going next year no matter what. Saw this years coverage through magazines and the net and im convinced this is the best performance car show in Europe. Newcastle used to have direct route to Norway but i think the routes been cancelled. I have not checked the ferry ports in Scotland yet as im sure there is a direct route to Norway. The alternative is of course to simply fly there but then you can`t show off your rex to the stunnin scandinavian birds!lol You could drive through France, Belgium, Denmark and then through Sweden, bit of a mission im sure theres nice roads on the way. Its early days yet, its not til end of summer so lods of time to plan it.

nice to see UK people want to come to Norway and gatebil.
There is a ferry coming and going to the UK, from the town were I live.
It used to go to Newcastle, but I think they have changed the route.
It\'s approx. 7 hours of driving from where the ferry ports to the circuit where gatebil is arranged.
i think the ferry is up from harwich now days to esbjerg in denmark after that you need to take the ferry from Fredriksham/denmark-gothenburg/sweden or grenå/denmark-varberg/sweden and then drive up to norway..

I went to Gatebil Rudskogen for the mid summer one last year.
It IS, without doubt, the best car show ever, and ive been to shows all over the world, TAS, all sorts, it is amazing.
Driving your car there is a huge mission now, which is a shame as I want to this year, BUT flying there and hiring a car from the airport is cheap and simple.
If you want a fairly relaxed one, book a hotel, if you want the most ridiculously mad party, sleep in the hire car and stay on-site overnight.
This year the main summer one is at Valer I think instead, do any local guys know if that will be as good as the usual Rudskogen summer one, ie the main one to go to, or? As im planning to go this year too.
