another "my car won\'t start" thread!:cool
i had the car running a week ago and it was fine, idled smooth if not a little bit high (about 800-900 rpm) and no smoke, started first time.
went to start it up yesterday and... nothing! turned out i\'d moved a bit of dash and the immobiliser antena wasn\'t sensing the key. once i\'d fixed that the engine would turn over but it wouldn\'t fire at all and eventually the breaker on the battery would trip.
when i started it up last week it was only to set up the turbo timer and i didn\'t have time to take it out. have i flooded it (schoolboy error)?
thanks,
If its cranking over and wont start sounds like it could be flooded.
Other things to check is plugs and HT leads make sure your getting a good spark.
make sure the battery is fully charged and then do the de-flood procedure, it will fire after that or you could get someone to give you a bump.
had a quick go of this today... when i got the inlet elbow off it reeked of fuel, same with the one plug i managed to get out. will have to wait until the weekend before i can have a crack at getting the rest out, really not easy!
thanks for replies.
