This is my \'87 FC currently not on the road due to emissions (6.4 on hc) I\'ve now got another \'89 n/a which is on the road but that has developed another coolant leak. ohh the joys!
My question is, where are my bumper vents??!! is this standard?
I\'ve also noticed that i have a lighter bonnet, would this have come standard also??

a lighter bonnet - errrr im sure they didnt exist for a EGI
UNLESS someone has taken one from a cab and filled the scoop over
can you see any work on the underside of the bonnet ??

doesn\'t look like its been filled paint is a little rough in places, it has the black lining still but who\'s to say someone has put that on!
I will linin\' and have a look! anyone have any ideas bout the bumper!? is it maybe a real cheap replica one??
cant tell from you pics - but it looks like a stock EGI bumper
if you go to my website and have a look at "my cars" you will see a front shot of a EGI - if yours looks the same - then its a stock bumper
it\'s colour code all around,
bumper strip( in the middle same line as side strip),side strip and mirror as it\'s should be black plastic.
add to this,1985/1986FC egi got ally bonnet as standard.
Umm must be a 86 on early D plate unless its a bonnet off one from that year!
I think the side strips should be black, but still, they do look cool in white.
Looking at grinder\'s site, mines seems the same but with the vents filled, it\'s got the same grooves!! I\'m goin have a look from the backside, that might reveal a bit more!

what vents are filled in ???
the middle ones should be open - just not sure about the one round the edges
and yours looks like all the trim has been resprayed - i assume its had a full respray at some point ?
UNLESS you are on about your FTP lense - just spotted on the pics that you dont have any
these sit under the headlights and above the indicators
what happens in your car with the lights OFF and you flash the headlights ???
Ahhh, just noticed that too! What is that all about? Don\'t think i\'ve ever seen that on an FC.
Yea it\'s the FTP lenses which I\'m on about, i\'ve never not seen them before!
If i flash the headlights with them down, they light up the ground a bit, but nothing shines through the bumper!!
Also I\'m thinkin it has had a respray at some point, not a full one mind you and not to a very high standard, you can tell when you open the door also the bonnet and bumper are a bit rough it have been in a front ender, doesn\'t seem to be damage to the front!!, originally was white though!
could the bonnet not have come from jap land or the usa? pretty sure they had N/A cabs
ah right - looks like someone has just filled them in then
that the whole idea of the FTP lenses though - when you flash with your lights down it shines thru them
now then - the JDM stuff is slightly different ..
if i flash with the lights off - then the lights raise , flash , drop
when i have sidelights on - the lights stay down and i think they shine thru the FTP lenses and the bit with the indicator ( im sure my FTP have bulbs in whereas the UK ones are just clear lenses )
im sure there is a relay you can pull out so that the UK spec cars do that- you need to ask Prof though ??
This one doesn\'t have the lights either! I\'ve also noticed (like mine) you don\'t have the Mazda badge on the front of the car.

Thats a Bomex kit^, And S4\'s bumpers dont have the mazda letting built into them but S5\'s do.
Ahhh.. thats probably why i don\'t have it then.. i do have a Mazda sticker i added though.. but i think i\'ll take it off.
