I\'ve read all the posts i can find but still need help.
Dont think the cables snapped as the release catch is hard to pull.
With a torch i can just see the bonnet catch but not sure which but to pull, push etc. I\'m know the bit that goes through the metal bonnet ring has to move but how do i do it. :reallymad

Sometimes they press down too hard on the catch and it can\'t release against the pressure. If it doesn\'t pop onto the secondary catch when you pull the release lever inside, try this;
give it a GENTLE thump with a closed fist on the corner just by the windscreen on the driver\'s side. Hopefully, that should release the pressure on the catch enough for it to pop onto the secondary latch, then you can get to the rocker on the front to release it altogether. HTH! :Thumbs-up
Remember, please don\'t thump it too hard cos you dont wanna be denting it, it\'s only ally!
I pushed on the bonnet by the catch with no luck. I will try banging it by the windscreen. Thanks
I have a spare cable kit if you find thats your problem :D
I melted through mine just enough to unwindde the cable so I couldnt get enough force to pull the latch so when you get it open just check the cable in case thats it
Think i must have the same problem. Sounds like i have a leak from around the downpipe, till i get the bonnet open i on\'t know for sure.
How did you get your bonnet open with a melted cable?
I was thinking about that when I wrote the last post and couldnt remember, had a look at the car and I think I got down to where the release catch, unbolted it or something so I could get to the cable and pulled on the cable itself with some pliers till the bonnet popped
i have a problem with mine where part of the catch is broke and i have to get one person to pull the lever under the steering wheel or wedge sumthin under it then lift the bonnet at the same time. Probably not the same issue you have but worth a try :Thumbsup!
i have this issiue its the little mounting nipple on the end thats snapped so although the cable feels tight you cant pop it theres a place to push to open it do you want pics
