ok can someone please tell me if 96-2002 the 16bit(three large plugs) ecu\'s where all the same or not??:confused:
As far as im aware there were 3 revisions of ECU\'s in Japan as below.
8-Bit ECU - Series 1-3 91/12-95/11 - For 255hp model
16 bit ECU - Series 4 95/12-98/12 - For 265hp model
16 bit ECU Series 5 99/1-02/9 - For 280hp model (revised turbos)

I wouldnt attempt it mate. Just get the correct one for your year of car.
