There\'s really no actual answer to this, it varies on setups, temperature, driving etc.

1st time I installed a standard ebay FMIC which also needed extensive piping customisation, but that seen me gain a healthy 16hp according to the dyno print.

Now that I gone single turbo I opted for Greddy style FMIC, even though its not genuine it works a treat.

The biggest and best flow FMIC for the FD is a Three row Greddy, you can get a two row version for TwinTub setups, go three row if you have a single.
The discontinued Apexi GT FMIC is an awesome bit of kit if you can find one it be out of these two to be honest

I have the Apexi GT and it was very easy to fit, not like the Greddy which i have heard is quite a pain

i love my apexi gt... very low intake temps when on boost about 10/15 degree above ambiant.

this is also design to allow the most amount of air through to the rad!

the apexi or 3 row greddy as mark says, stay away from cheap or copy intercoolers as they become inefficient at around 0.9 - 1 bar and will eventually fubar your turbo

I have an Apexi GT FMIC for £300 plus delivery, comes with pipework shown but no mounting brackets.
