Does it drain the fuel even more if its any higher than 0.8?

Got no idea what mine is, is there an easy way to tell?

As I understand it, higher boost means more air in the intake - so you have to pump more fuel in, to maintain a safe air/fuel ratio...  so yes - increasing boost pressure will also up the fuel usage...

As to how you check your boost - get a boost guage (or look at the commander, if you have an apexi...)

When doesn\'t a Rx7 drain the fuel??? Well theres alot of people running a bar, so i think mines getting cranked up for Oulton Park in December. My mates got a P1 Impreza running 350 bhp, and im un-healthly competative haha :burnout

0.8bar on stock twins - think i might ask Pip to up it next time i\'m over that way :D

oh, and just to be pedantic \'cos i\'m in that kind of mood - your boost is actually measured in bar gauge or psi gauge :P

Simply saying bar or psi means you\'d actually be pulling a vacuum and sucking air/fuel OUT of the engine....

Its going to Geff on Thursday to have the new ignition system wired in (if the plug leads turn up on time).

It was 499.8fwhp at 1.4bar but its now got a proper T51 manifold now rather than the ebay one I modded and a 13bre intake manifold and the crane cams ignition setup so we will see how it does.

Hopefull it will hold together as I\'ve got the Rockingham track day on saturday. I hate the tuning especially when they make you sign the dreaded form :eek:

It\'s an extended street port, the same as what Geff ran on Stripy aparentley, would have had a bridge but Chris talked me out of it due to noise regs at tracks but wish I had gone for it now.

Whats yours running at 1bar?

this is what i need to decide when i get mine all back together, was previously only running 0.8 bar on a TD06 but on stock ports.

You need to talk to your tuner/builder about what power you want and where you want the power band to be. As this can altered significantly, If you’re sticking with your TD06 you do not need any kind of bridge.

PS talk to ERA!!!!! Porting is his thang!

How long will your block last running at 2.2 bar? I take it you only run on 120ron or something?

Engine has not blown yet,i use it for street and drag,on the strip i use c16 for the 2.2 bar of boost.Engine apart at the moment for some extra porting work and there is no undue signs of wear. This is down to the dragon build though top quality:Thumbsup!.I think ross didnt blow an engine either.:D
