Post by: pigeon on November 08, 2008, 10:31:19 PM
so basically once i have built my engine for my car im gonna have two spare engines. was thinking the other day that it carnt be all that hard to build a single rotor. anyone ever done it or heard anything about it. i figure the hardest part is gonna be machining the e-shaft. just gonna do it for ****s and giggles but still want to do it properly.
any info or input would be great
cheers adam

Drainage of oil back into the sump is the area you need to look at most as the oil on two rotors drains through the center plate.
Then the rotating assembly needs balancing.

Yea....stick it on a go kart chassis!!!!

That would be awesome.....you could get 100bhp with one rotor couldnt you?

surely you\'d be need a PP for that? which would me even worse low down torque.

Also the single rotor go carts have single engines i believe and kick out around 50 hp
