What are people using and why?
I\'m looking for one prefferably with hi and lo settings.
Also where do they plumb in on seq twins i only know where they go on a single.
Grab yourself a Greddy Profec B, can be plummed into the twin turbo set up, very reliable with high and low settings!
Good price too really
Profec B spec II - has Hi/Lo/Off - but initial setup is a bit quirky
As above its nothing flash but does exactly what it needs to do without issue.

Does anyone have any tips on setting the Profec B up?
Mine is installed however I need to check the settings. It seems to work on % of duty, rather than a straight forward boost rating. Dont want to mess it up!.
Was going to aim for 1 bar or 0.8 bar as running twins with only bolt on mods.

I started by making sure the settings were all set off - then did a WOT run up a hill in 4th gear to get some idea of what the turbo could do on spring boost. This is useful, as it sets a baseline for the wastegate performance, and gives you a figure to help set the \'start gain\' or the point at which the boost controller will start allowing the wastegate to open.
Then set up the low setting - starting with say 20% duty and do the same run again - watch the peak boost - if it\'s no where near when you want it - add another 10% - if it\'s close go with 5% increase.
Once you\'ve got the boost where you want it, change the set gain setting to something close to the wastegate spring pressure, and change the gain setting to say 20%. Do the WOT run in 4th and check the peak boost - if it\'s spiking - trim some gain off, if it\'s ok, add a bit more gain - it will help build boost faster.
Once you\'ve set it in 4th, change to 2nd gear and do the same test - in the lower gears boost will build faster - if it does spike, you need to trim some gain out. If you can\'t bring it under control, then drop the start gain figure by 1/2 psi and check it again. Once you\'re happy it\'s not spiking - you can go and set up the HI boost setting.
I\'ve found it useful to set the limiter feature - just as a safety net - it autimatically cut\'s duty when the boost hits a warning value - just helps prevent unwanted overboost.
Can take a little while to get setup - but it\'s worth the effort.

Bit late guys already got one.
Profec B spec II is known for a poor solenoid, i used to have one for more old car admitedly it was fine. I\'ve gone all out and got a HKS evc 6 the most complicated boost controller on earth, you can do correction map against throttle position and/or rpm or speed. Also the solenoid feels much better about 3 times the weight of the greddy.

Thanks Prof :)
Just out of interest do they keep their settings even when the battery has been disconected for a few weeks?

yep - no worries there - mine was off road for almost a month - all the settings were ok.
Cool, in that case the settings that Pip put on it should still be OK, unless its been accidentally changed during the re-build. I\'ll check.
Ta budski :)
