Title: I have a problem...!
Post by: JiM B on November 03, 2008, 07:48:05 PM
Hi,

Took my FD out for a drive and it has suddenly developed a problem. It\'s a completely stock 2000 Type RB.

As long as I keep the boost under 0 the car will accelerate normal to any revs, however as soon as I try and accelerate hard enough to develop any boost greater then 0 the car won\'t. It simple pops and bangs and will not accelerate until you ease off the accelerator.

I\'ve been searching around on the forum but can\'t find a definitive answer, these are some ideas I’ve come across:

1) Could this be the car in \'Limp Home Mode\'?
2) Loose, broken vac hoses.
3) Maybe a solenoid valve (but which one?).
4) Try new plugs.

Do any of these sound like the right answer, has anyone got more ideas?

Thanks,
James.
